Information about the assignment
Position: Import/Export Manager
Report to: Sales Director
Location: Xinzhuang, Shanghai
Main Responsibility:
- Manage import program of all overseas purchase for domestic customer sales and export program of sales to overseas customers
- Build up competency on import and export process through optimizing internal management process, continually improving transaction leading time, reducing import export service costs, and maximizing the benefits from local customs and tax regulatory
- To have optimum distribution of responsibilities between in-house and outsource agents to achieve low costs, short lead time and good service quality
- Manage logistics for domestic and overseas shipments function
Desired profile of the candidate
Education: College degree or above
Language: Fluent written and verbal English
Professional experience:
- At least 5 years working experience in import and export management in manufacturing environment,
- Demonstrated understanding of China Customs / trade compliance policy & logistics processes. Especially familiar with free trade zone, bonded logistics park, and industrial code classification etc,
- Experience of practical handle on Customs/government policy/import & export operation process,
- Well connected with customs and other local authorities, import and export agent, freight forwarder and 3PL
