Global Senior Pricing Manager, Consumer Devices

POSITION SUMMARY
The business unit of Consumer Devices (CD) is the technology innovation leader for smarter, greener and energy-efficient devices. It provides a broad range of connectivity solutions to various markets, including mobile phones, consumer electronics, personal computers (PC) and business equipment. CD boasts a highly-diversified product portfolio from connectors, sockets, cable assemblies, antennas, relays to circuit protection, sensors, magnetic and fiber optics. POSITION DESCRIPTION
The role of Global Senior Pricing Manager is responsible for leading all strategic and tactical aspects of the Global Pricing department in CD. Successful candidate will work closely with both Product Management and Sales & Marketing to develop and implement pricing strategies to maximize sales and profits.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Serve as the Global Leader for the Business Unit’s Pricing Team and lead a team of Strategic Product Pricing Analysts and Contract / Agreement Pricing Analysts
  • Partner with Product Management and Enterprise Pricing Team to design and implement Global pricing strategies, own Business Unit price management processes, and manage Business Unit published book price structure.
  • Influence, analyze and approve Direct Business (OEM & Subcontractor) Pricing through data-driven decisions and P&L analysis. Recommend price strategy changes and drive implementation based on science and fact-based analysis.
  • Support the Enterprise Channel BU Pricing Team by providing and updating guidelines, pricing envelopes and pricing fences for Channel (Distributor) transactional pricing decisions made by that team.
  • Ownership of pricing metrics including Business Unit net price realization, reduction of negative price (erosion), book price utilization and deal construction quality / time. Establish targets and goals for these key metrics.
  • Own the Tactical Pricing process for the Business Unit by identifying and recommending margin and price improvement opportunities across the Business Unit’s Product Lines and Customer Base.
  • Drive Strategic Product Pricing Team in the use of price bands, waterfalls and other pricing tools to monitor Life Cycle Pricing. Validate Product Line pricing strategies and drive segmentation.
  • Deeper understanding of market insights, competitive benchmarking, reference valuation, and cost to serve in order to implement pricing tactics and strategies to maximize Business Unit revenue opportunities.
  • Implement Global Commercial Excellence plan initiatives and drive sustainability in the Business Unit as a member of the Commercial Excellence Team.
  • Create and present pricing presentations to Business Unit executives and other business segment executives.
  • Key leadership team member of the Business Unit Organization.
  • Led a team of product and agreement pricing of about seven people.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelor degree (MBA Preferred) in preferably a commercial or financial direction
  • Strong track record of leadership in a matrix environment. Managerial experience is a must
  • Executive presence…..must possess confidence and assertiveness
  • Critical and strategic thinker who can manage the details
  • Demonstrated ability to drive and influence change within global and cross functional teams
  • Six Sigma experience or process improvement experience (Black Belt desired)
