Report directly to the Director of Financial Planning & Analysis with a dotted line to the Regional Managing Director and the Asia Pacific Controller.

Mission

The mission of this position is to support business decisions for the Asia Pacific region through action oriented financial reporting and analysis. The Business Advisor is critical in supporting (regional) management on the overall strategy, annual operating plans, forecasting process and analysing & reporting financial performance.

Main Responsibilities

·Prepare standard financial management reporting for the Asia Pacific region, such as fully allocated P & L statements, industry level reports, etc. This also includes the reconciliation of management to statutory financial reports.

·Research and explain key performance variances indicated in the Management Financial reporting, including analyzing variances versus both budget and actual.

·Assist commercial team in preparing information and analysis used to manage their respective areas and prepare adjunct financial reporting for the region for assisting in business decisions.

·Prepare financial related presentations for the Regional Managing Director and will be responsible for the budget and forecast processes.

·As the business information systems support lead, of which a key responsibility is to act as a primary support contact and trainer for Asian associates in the use of business analysis tools.

·Deliver financial support of various projects as assigned, to potentially include areas such as: capital appropriations analysis, support of acquisitions analysis and/ or integration, support of supply chain analysis, etc.

Qualifications

·Bachelor degree and major in Economics or Finance

·Have sufficient, relevant (at least six years) experience in both financial analysis and general accounting, preferably in a result-driven, manufacturing matrix organisation.

·Have experience working closely with the sales team and built up a profound knowledge of sales processes, margin control, cost accounting and activity based costing.

·Excellent analytical, communication skills and interpersonal relationship.

·Pro-active personality, customer-oriented and possess excellent conceptual skills.

·Experience in process/ systems analysis, design and improvement.

·Knowledge of ERP Systems (JD Edwards / Oracle PeopleSoft), SAP BPC (or Hyperion) as well as data warehousing will be valued as an asset.
