Major Responsibilities:
1.Support development of C/CD/D platform product definition for APA:
a. Define customer wants and requirements which represent a suitable cross-section of APA market needs
b. Define program assumptions with marketing and other key functions; identify technical and business issues
c. With other functional inputs, assess and develop proposals to support new or derivative opportunities based on core Ford platforms
d. Work with finance to develop business structure and viability
e. Assess implementation alternatives and develop plan for viable entries
2.Establish pre-<PS> program plans and milestone delivery for cycle plan entries
a. Lead/coordinate pre-program cross-functional team
b. Act as main interface with APA markets, JV or outside partners, global platform teams, and APA functional team members to drive strategic conclusions and pre-program approvals
3.Participate in development of C/CD/D vehicle line strategic opportunities and product plans
a. Develop competitive assessments, JV partnership opportunities, or other alternative scenarios to improve segment share, penetration, or profitability
4.Flexibility to work on different cross-functional assignments as the need arises.
Experience and Background Skills Desired:
The ideal candidate will have:
1.Engineering or Business Degree, MBA preferred
2.Strong interest in working on product issues/opportunities
3.Prior planning/strategy experience; strategic mindset
4.Excellent leadership and negotiation skills
5.Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills
6.Highly motivated, ability to deal with dynamic conditions and circumstances
7.Global perspective
8.Creativity
Other Considerations and Complexity:
1.Flexibility to meeting schedules (early morning or late evening) due to some time zone differences
