Job Objectives:
· This incumbent is the leader to capture business for assigned customer(s) in conjunction. He/she will develop and execute approved sales & technology strategy for specific account(s) to achieve sales and marketing objectives for the account(s) as part of Asia & Global objectives
· The incumbent must be able to work with his/her counterparts in different regions to formulate strategies for pricing, quality, manufacturing process, supply chain & PM management for securing awarded business locally and maximizing the profit.
· The incumbent is accountable for electrolyte sales to automotive end application and to build a sustainable growth business for the division. He or she must identify or create the demand for BASF's proprietary electrolytes through formulating and executing commercial and technology strategies in concert with CCB's global strategy.
· Materialize profitable businesses and faciliate the relevant processes including but not limited to (1) executing strategy for commercial terms negotiation, (2) implementing global & regional pricing strategy, (3) Lead implementation of Technical Services team projects at customers, (4) optimization and positioning for long term profitability.
· Synchronize accounts & projects proirities among Greater China Key Account Management and Technical Service Management.
Main Tasks:
· Develop and execute approved sales & technology strategy to achieve annual and long term objectives & budget for assigned customer(s) independently;
· Create and capture business opportunity in conjunction with Technical services & the counterparts from different regions;
· Coordinate necessary resources including but not limit to R&D and TS to execute technology strategy and manage competition in schedules;
· Develop and implement pricing strategy and negotiate commercial supply contracts;
· Cultivate and enhance relationship with customers in both Global & local levels;
· Budget & sales forecast development and monitoring.
Job Requirements:
Education:
1. Minimum of a Bachelors of Science degree in a technical discipline equipped with good commercial sense (Chemical or Engineering) or commercial areas is required.
Working Experience:
1. Minimum 5 years of sales/marketing or business management experience with diverse customer relationships. Automotive sales/marketing experience is a strong asset.
2. Solid experiences in interfacing manufacturing (chemical ) & R&D is an asset;
3. Comprehensive exposures in multicultrual working environment and handling international and local accounts are necessary.
4. 7 years working experiences in Chemical/Battery industry with at least 3 years in key account management role; Demonstrated track record for sales/revenue growth and development
Technical & Professional Knowledge:
1. Thorough understanding of sales development especially within formulations type businesses. 2. Proven ability to identify business opportunities and develop appropriate strategies and relationships that deliver sales results within a diverse and challenging business climate.
3. Must possess superior communication, interpersonal, influencing and presentation skills, with the ability to interact with key decision makers at all levels at both customer and internal management.
4. Demonstrated strategic thinking ability and demonstrated ability to implement business plans.
5. Must be willing and able to travel over 50% of the time both domestically and internationally.
6. Fluent spoken and written English
