People Management Responsibility: No

Job Objectives:
Be responsible for supporting the development and managing the execution of Electrolyte product line strategies in coordination with the Global Product Manager, Business Director, and Global Strategy group. He works together with the regional Account Managers in coordinating customer requests and works together with Production and Supply Chain to ascertain ability to deliver and to manage shortage situations. His main task is to sustainably optimize the profit situation for his product line in line with the business units strategic objectives.
Job Responsibilities:
· Manages the Electrolyte product line to achieve growth and margin targets established by the BU including tactical implementation of pricing models, portfolio management, and working capital plans;
· Identifies, develops, and implements strategic concepts that will profitably grow the assigned portfolio through development of relationships with markets and customers;
· Manages product line financial forecasts, demand forecasts, cost reduction initiatives, market/competitive intelligence, business process improvement, and tactical marketing activities;
· Collaborates with our Sales Team and Application Technology Team to meet customer needs and resolve issues;
· Works closely with all functional groups at various organizational levels to meet targets.
· Work environment (extent of interaction with Supervisor(s) for approval, concurrence, resolution, etc.):
· Incumbent will work under general supervision and review by the Global Product Manager based in Ludwigshafen, Germany. Local supervisor is the Director CCB Asia.
· Business environment (economic or technological conditions dealt with on a regular basis):
· Catalysts Division (CC) is a global operating division located within the United States.
· Battery Materials, G-CCB is an emerging global business unit which operates in a highly dynamic and constantly changing market environment.
· Internal and external relationships (nature and frequency):
· Interaction with organizational peers within the Battery Materials business unit.
· Regular interaction with external customers and other external stakeholders.
Job Requirements:
1. Bachelor's degree in chemistry, chemical engineering, marketing, or business administration, MBA preferred
2. At least 5 years of relevant work experience
3. Demonstrated ability to think and act as an entrepreneur; ability to balance risk with opportunity
4. Demonstrated analytical, organizational, and communication skill with broad business acumen
5. SAP proficiency preferred
6. Experience working directly with customers preferred
7. Battery industry value chain and market knowledge preferred
