R&D Software Supervisor
Primary Objective of Position (General Statement):
Under general direction with little supervision, responsible for planning, scheduling and coordinating the entire embedded softeware engineers team in projects typically involving electrical team,manufacturing and testing team and which requires excellent judgment to independently evaluate critical issues in terms of both resources and design criteria. Also to perform as a contributor in digital signal processing algorithm, advancing the art of flow measurement. Coordindating with global engineering team in adopting same software design process and quality.
Key Job Responsibilities:
Oversee the Development of embedded software for flow transmitter electronics using C/C++ and assembly language
Determine the nature, scope and viability of assigned projects. Determine budget and schedule parameters, and delegate assignments appropriately.
Determine the software design criteria for the project. Define and plan the architecture of the technical aspects of the project.
Choose appropriate software architectures using Real Time, multi-tasking Operating Systems (RTOS)
Check and Review the design works of embedded software engineers
Ensure proper documentation of software design stored and process being followed
Review and Approve Software Requirements and Design Specifications using UML
Interview applicants for employment when called upon.

4-6 weeks per year for training and customer visits as required (10%)
Qualifications:
Experience:
More than 8 years years of recent design experience with coding of microprocessor and DSP based embedded systems using C/C++. Experience must include coding in a Real-Time, Multi-tasking, interrupt driven environment using a RTOS with emphasis in software-hardware interface development and integration. Expereince in managing software team and projects.
Education/Training:
"Bachelor in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or equivalent,
master degree is preferred"
Physical Demands:
In good physical status
Competencies:
Good interposnal skill and team supervisor experience is a plus.
Proficiency with C/C++ for embedded, microcontroller based systems
Proficiency with development tools such as compilers, emulators/JTAG, debuggers.
Proficiency with the use of test equipment, such as logic analyzers, serial data analyzers, oscilloscopes
Experience with Green Hills IDE and Analog Devices Blackfin Digital Signal Processors considered a plus
Familiarity with UML a major plus.
Ability to read, write and speak English
