Job description / Mission

Atlas Copco Construction & Mining Technique (CMT) has launched the establishment of an R&D Centre in Nanjing, with a new Rocktec-China at its core. China is a very important market for CMT and local engineering and R&D resources are key to maintain CMT's strong position in the increasingly competitive Chinese market. The model for the R&D Canter in Nanjing will be based on additional divisional D&D engineering resources, focussing on applications and products designed for the Chinese market, with a core of Rocktec-China specialist engineering resources, providing services to the four divisional D&D teams in Nanjing and the other CMT product companies in China. Rocktec-China will be modelled on the same principle as Rocktec in?rebro, with Specialist Engineering Services and laboratories similar to what are established in?rebro. Rocktec-China will also take technical control of all rock drills and rotation units that will be produced in China for the Chinese market. Rocktec?rebro will continue with its current services to CMT divisions in Europe and the rest of the world.

Your mission will be to work inside the R&D Measurement Technique group at Rocktec-China and together with that team provide:

· World class in-house specialist services for noise, vibration and harshness applications providing qualitative and reliable data/result for verification of both written requirements/legislations and as input to technical discussions and investigations.

· Great knowledge about the CMT-China products and needs utilising state-of-the-art knowledge and tools

· Introduce new methodologies for simulations, noise and vibration tests, analysis and measurements as well as interact with external centre's of competence

Your primary tasks to fulfil your mission will be to:

· Perform noise and vibration calculations, measurements and analysis on CMT-China products

· Document your work in technical reports of high standards in English

· Help design teams to ensure that health and safety regulations are met by CMT-China products

· Develop modern state-of-the-art methods that makes your job as efficient as possible in respect to time-to-market requirements

Your professional skills needed are both theoretical and practical:

· Superior skills in noise and vibration measurements, preferably with LMS Test Lab

· Very good skills in signal processing techniques and data analysis, preferably with Matlab

· Very good skills working practically in the field with placing sensors and transducers and to take measurements with computers. Repair and quick fixes in field occur now and then

As a team member of Measurement Technique, you will report to the R&D Measurement Technique Group Leader.

Education, Knowledge and Experience

You have a MSc education, or higher, specialising in Noise and vibration measurements with at least 3 year of proven skills related to noise and vibration tasks for D&D purposes. You have knowledge and experience to discuss highly technical projects with D&D managers and in-depth details with design team members, but also to discuss solutions and ideas with product users and service personnel. You are fluent in English and have good presentation skills.
