职位描述
POSITION OBJECTIVE
Develop people, processes and projects that generate profitable growth for ADS while complying with all Atlas Copco and governmental regulations.
Recognition of present and future market needs
Develop products that improve efficiency of manufacture and customer operation.
Reduce environmental impacts of ADS products with a continuous improvement goal.
Ability to run global development projects with Atlas Copco and external resources.
Project execution with respect to target definition and fulfillment, quality assurance/risk taking, on time delivery.
Liaise with the Product Managers in Garland and Nanjing to ensure that master specifications are appropriately set and adhered to.
Liaise with the Divisional engineering organization in Garland, Nasik and Bengaluru to ensure that synergies are maximized.
Ensure that all designs comply with existing legislation in the target markets and that safety, ergonomics and the wellbeing of the operator are given high priority.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES
The main assignment is to manage the design and development of drill rigs, related components and concepts for boring holes in the earth.
Initiate product designs that align with the marketing product managers goals.
Work with manufacturing to improve processes and product design for efficient manufacturing.
Design for manufacturability is to take a high priority.
Work with aftermarket organization to reduce warranty and improve customer service.
Implement efficient methods and tools for development and design work.
Develop resources and cooperation with other functions.
Consider environmental and safety issues during design processes.
Development of technical and managerial competence with your direct reports
Determine, monitor, and control monthly and yearly budgets for your department.
PERSONAL CHARACTERISTICS
You are a target driven, committed to deliver results, take responsibility type person. In addition you enjoy seeing other people develop.
Must be fluent in English (both oral and written)
Open minded and flexible. Must be able to listen well.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
A BS in engineering or demonstrated design experience. Advanced degrees advantageous. Demonstrated management of electrical or mechanical engineers with experience of managing product development teams. Experience from construction equipment and/or other heavy vehicles is a major advantage.

REQUIRED PHYSICAL EFFORT
Travel to worldwide locations, long hours when required. Ability to listen to customers and colleagues.
Responsible for meeting the objectives of our ISO programs. When there are any questions regarding these programs they shall be directed to your supervisor/manager or the facility ISO representative. Supervisors and managers are responsible for communicating policy and objectives of ISO programs to their employees.
