Job Description:

• Responsible for supporting the company cycle plan by evaluating new model program studies and forecasting funding requirements to support in-plant material flow for New Model Programs within the APA Region. Typical requirements include: powered and non-powered material handling equipment, work in process containers, linefeed, leased warehousing, floor space, blank pallets, and dock utilization;
• Drive cost efficiencies in new model planning to achieve new model material flow engineering program investment and variable cost targets using total cost business case analyses and optimizing the value stream;
• Ensure timely submission of F&T investment starting from MR gateway including: Space, Equipment, Facilities, IT Systems, Packaging & Stillages, and Launch Requirements;
• Review the F&T investments using 6-Boxer MP&L metric to optimize the submission;
• Align Packaging, Network Logistics and Plant MP&L team on material flow strategies for all new Truck Programs and ensure right level of packaging, freight and sequencing cost submitted in Program gateways;
• Ensure global standards for cost process and reporting formats are met and submitted into GPRM global review forum. Represent APA MP&L at GPRM review;
• Ensure new model program studies are aligned with global material flow processes and include all required funding to support migration to the global standards;
• Facilitate in sequencing studies and provide support on choosing parts of sequencing to have lean material flow;
• Facilitate on bailment studies and engage with purchasing on supplier direct procurement;

Qualifications requirements:

• Bachelor, certifications BE / MBA / BS (Packaging or Engineering Degree);

• 3 to 5 yearsyears of experience ;

• Preferred previous experience : Min 4 to 6 yrs of industry experience;

• Expertise in Materials Management with working experience in material flow engineering / packaging engineering / supply chain / manufacturing;

• Special Knowledge or skill required : Hands on experience in Materials Management, Strong understanding of lean material flow strategies, processes, proficient in performing studies to assess and compare the investment and variable costs associated with alternative actions or specified future conditions;

• Good working knowledge in Auto Cad, and global MFE tools (CMMS, SMART, PFEP, etc.);

• Expertise in Materials Management with working experience in material flow engineering / packaging/engineering / supply chain / manufacturing;

• Demonstrated leadership skills, specifically drive for results, team work, strong inter-personal skills, ability to work well in a fluid environment, ability to travel required;

• Manufacturing plant experience strongly desired;

• Good English communication skills;
