Job Description:

• Establish and maintain regional expertise as the subject matter expert for all MP&L Engineering tools (Packaging, PMHV, Material Flow Engineering, Logistics, HazMat, etc.) resulting in the efficient engineering analysis aligned with global standards and the lowest total cost MP&L engineering solutions.
• Lead the MP&L asssessment and input into new facilities to ensure alignment with standard global MP&L facility requirements (e.g. Pedestrian Protection, conveyor delivery, material containment on site, etc.);
• Single point of contact and subject matter expert for all MP&L Engineering tools including Packaging, PMHV, MFE, Logistics, Safety & HazMat;
• Represent APA as the regional subject matter expert; specifically representing APA within the Global MP&L and IT Organizations to ensure all regional requirements are identified, pursued, beta tested and implemented aligned with global standards;
• Provide all user training for manufacturing and the central organization;
• Maintain user access protocol and act as regional administrator where required (PFEP, etc.).
• Review key business partner strategies (VOME, PTO ME, etc.); identify and resolve alignment gaps to support manufacturing;
• Develop metrics to focus efforts toward key measurables and a shared definition of success. Benchmark, identify best in class status, and set metric targets to exceed current best in class levels;
• Engage global business partners to ensure alignment;
• Achieve significant investment efficiencies by leveraging standard tools, global economies of scale, and best in class replication;

Qualification requirements:

• Bachelor in Engineering or related discipline;
• 4 to 6 yrs of industry experience;
• Functional expertise in MP&L Engineering disciplines (MFE, Packaging, Material Handling/PMHV, and Hazardous Materials) and systems (CMMS, PFEP, Factory Flow, etc.).
• Strong understanding of material flow strategies (MFE, Packaging, Material Handling / PMHV, and Hazardous Materials) with an emphasis on standardized processes.
• Functional expertise in MP&L Engineering disciplines (MFE, Packaging, Material Handling / PMHV, and Hazardous Materials) and systems (CMMS, PFEP, Factory Flow, etc.);
• Ability to operate in a global environment, elicit cooperation from a wide variety of sources-both within MP&L and cross functionally (including Product Development, Finance, Manufacturing, and Purchasing) to deliver multi market / CBG projects;
• Strong business acumen, drive for results, analytical skills, extraordinary teamwork and collaborative skills, ability to interface effectively with all levels;
• Good English communication skills;
