KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
? Responsible for development of firmware based on Quantenna Wi-Fi chipsets, including design, coding, bug fixing, unit and integration tests;
? Responsible for design of new software/firmware features and research of new Wi-Fi related technologies;
? Design and implement firmware that communicates between Wi-Fi PHY and embedded host processor;
? Develop and maintain algorithms and features for Wi-Fi PHY and MAC layer by working closely with System and ASIC team;
? Optimize firmware by providing better performance for data path of both transmission and receiving of Wi-Fi chipsets;
? Optimize memory usage within firmware and add more features to the system without adding more RAM;
? Resolve issues reported by customers and internal QA regarding firmware by providing quick solution.
QUALIFICATIONS:
? Bachelor or Master in EE, CS, CE, or related disciplines with over five years’ experience in software development on Linux platform;
? Proficiency of C and/or assembly language programming skills;
? Rich experience of development of Wi-Fi software/firmware features;
? In depth of understanding to 802.11 protocol suite and WLAN technology;
? Experience of IP networking with good knowledge of data path performance tuning is required;
? Experience of development for Linux programs including device driver and/or application level is preferred;
? Good written and oral communication skills in English, CET-6 is preferred;
? Quick learner, eager to grow with new technologies, self-motivated and striven for high performance;
? Prior work experience in the U.S. or U.S. based multi-national firms is preferred;
? Good communication and problem solving skills and ability to work under high pressure.
