A) Position Objective:

Internal Audit Division is responsible for developing and maintaining an efficient and effective internal audit program to enhance the Corporation's control environment and capacity to manage risk and to provide the Board of Directors, management and regulator a reasonable assurance on the effectiveness of the control environment.

Being the location Audit Responsible Person and a member of the regional audit team, the position is expected to lead the audit team to deliver the regional internal audit and statutory audit plan in accordance with AIG Internal Audit Standards and the regulatory requirements, monitor the business control environment, and maintain a good relationship with different stakeholders on a continuous basis.

B) Key Roles and Responsibilities:

1. Plan, lead and execute the location audit plans, and special projects/ investigations as needed, with reference to the regulatory requirements and the Corporate risk based audit approach.

2. Draft audit issues and report. Provide practical and value adding recommendations. Present audit results to Board of Directors.

3. Follow up on audit issues to ensure they are adequately remediated.

4. Continually assess risks and internal controls of the business.

5. Monitor the audit plan completion on an ongoing basis.

6. Coordinate with other assurance functions such as SOX, Risk Management, Compliance, and external auditors to leverage review work so as to minimize interruption to business units.

7. Dealing with regulator and address regulator's requests as needed.

8. Lead a team of auditors/senior auditors. Provide honest and constructive feedbacks and coaching to the team members. Hold the entire team accountable for meeting deliverables while adhering to Quality Assurance criteria.

9. Monitor and risk assess key business projects. Perform ad hoc projects/ audits to support corporate/ business initiatives.

C) Job Requirements:

· University graduates with at least 10 years of relevant experience, preferably with general insurance industry experience
· Qualified accountant and/ or relevant professional qualifications
· In-depth knowledge of China insurance regulatory requirements
· Experience in managing / coaching a team, delivering statutory audit plan, and dealing with local regulator
· Able to work independently with minimal supervision
· Strong communication, presentation and interpersonal skills
· Good command of English - both spoken and written
· USGAAP, IFRS and project management knowledge is a plus
· Proficiency in computer software, such as Excel and ACL is advantageous
· Traveling up to 20% is expected
