The DSM ICT Affiliate in China is an integral part of the Global DSM ICT Organization. We deliver professional ICT products and services to DSM business and service entities operating in China including DSM Nutritional Products, Food Specialties, Sinochem Pharmaceuticals, Fiber Intermediates, Engineering Plastics, Resins, Dyneema and a group corporate staff function departments. We employ over 100 employees in China with locations in Shanghai, Nanjing, Guangzhou, Beijing and Jiangyin.


The Position
Job title: Communication Officer APAC/Assistant HR Officer
Reports to: HR Manager, DBS China

The Challenge
1. Input and contribute content for communication plans, as well as monitor progress and deliver within budget and deadlines
2. Propose and support effective ways to enhance dialogue with internal and external stakeholders e.g. media to support, understanding, alignment and commitment towards business goals.
3. Coordinate development of different internal and external communication tools (websites, newsletters, brochures, tradeshows etc.)
4. Produce (draft) content and materials
5. Maintain up to date knowledge of DSM communication and branding policies/guidelines (including DSM house style) and ensure compliance throughout all materials
6. Advise line management on communication policies, and execution (tactics, process and tools)
7. Ensure alignment of Corporate/BG/Region‘s internal and external communication messages
8. Actively participate in internal networks/communities to optimally pool resources, knowledge, and experience
9. Manage external suppliers like advertising agencies, designers, printing companies, photographers and copy writers to ensure strong relationship, quality goods and services and value for money
10. Develop and maintain specific internal and external network in order to become a professional antenna for news, information and state of the Corporate/BG/Region organization
11. Plan, initiate and organize internal and external events
12. Keep up-to-date on trends in communications, and translating their application to Corporate/BG/Region communications
13. Support crisis/issues and incident situations effectively
14. Provide daily support to HR team of DBS China
15. Help hiring managerto arrange the interview with potential candidate
16. In charge of the new employee on boarding preparation
17. Build up and maintain staff P-files for DBS China employee
18. Support new hires communication across the region
19. Work together with HR team to coordinate Right Start Live training schedules for DBS China employee and ensure new hires attend the training on time
20. Other tasks assigned by HR Manager

The Ideal
1. At least 3 years similar experience
2. Bachelor or above business related business administration education background
3. Fluent in English
4. Good communication skill
5. Good financial analyzing skills
6. Available for frequent travel between DBS locations in China and AP
