BASIC FUNCTION

Acts as the link between the Design Team. Sr. Product Developer and the factories producing our products to ensure that samples and finished goods are completed accurately, efficiently and on time and that all administrative requirements to support development are met.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Supports the communication between the Sr. Product Developer, Product Development Manager and Corporate staff.

2. Reviews PDM’s and supports the coordination of development information with relevant parties.

3. Supports the factory and supplies any necessary information and standards. Plans and arranges for samples to be done properly including aesthetics, materials, color and overall product.

4. Assists the Sr. Product Developer in ensuring all products are developed per published specifications.

5. Submits the updated weekly tracking status on each style and each color so all parties have a clear understanding of status.

6. Provides product comment updates using data management systems as directed by the Sr. Product Developer.

7. Supports Sr. Product Developer in ensuring highest quality products are delivered to respective parties as per published calendars.

8. Supports the identification of and sourcing of new materials and checks material schedule in conjunction with the Development Team.

9. Coordinates urgent sample requests ensuring each is processed within required timelines.

10. Ensures the samples sent to the Corporate office are fully inspected in highest quality aesthetic and color matching as perfect as possible.

11. Travels up to 20% - 30% of the time in China.

12. Ensures business relationships between the company and assigned factories and material suppliers are maintained at the highest level of integrity, trust and loyalty.


SKILLS

1. Requires an undergraduate level degree in an applicable field of study as well as a minimum of 2-5 years of experience in development of accessory footwear or apparel.

2. Attention to detail is a must.

3. Excellent time management and organization skills are needed.

4. Requires bi-lingual Chinese/English communication skills. Must also be able to read and write in English.

5. Ability to develop necessary skills to utilize current development programs and systems is required.

6. Must be able to work effectively in a team based environment.

1. Must possess the ability to work under general supervision, and have a high level of energy and personal initiative.

2. Ability to work on cross-functional teams and effectively communicate with outside vendors and factory personnel.
