Position Summary
A web developer with good understanding of using the dynamic programming tools and languages that fuel the Web. Work independently or be part of a team that builds and integrates interactive Web sites, applications, and services for both internal and public sites.
Responsibilities include trouble shooting on live system for urgent cases, developing web applications that work on various browsers, enhancing and modifying them as necessary to ensure the best experience for the user, developing data-driven applications, and finding efficient client-server solutions.
Primary Duties / Responsibilities
Develop and implement code for moderately complex projects
May have involvement with analysis and design of proposed projects which can include functional specifications, design parameters, feature enhancements, and alternative solutions.
Trouble shooting on live production system, rotated 24x7 on-call development support for outages.
Improves and maintains thorough and accurate documentation of all work.
Qualifications (include knowledge, skills, abilities, and related work experience)
Troubleshooting and debugging applications
Solid understanding on Django/Python programming
Be proficient in HTML, CSS, Javascript and XML
Experienced in Jquery, jqueryui and AJAX
Familiar with SQL and MS SQLServer
Familiar Internet Information Services (IIS)
Capability of using multiple languages (java, C/C++, python, PHP, Perl, etc.) is a plus
Capability of working on multiple platform (Unix/FreeBSD, Mac, etc.) is a plus
Understanding of web security is a plus
Configuration and deployment of applications
Strong communication (verbal and written, Chinese and English) and interpersonal skill
Functional/Technical Requirements (include education, certifications, and training)
BS degree or equivalent in computer science, electrical engineering, or related field. For individuals holding an advanced degree in one of these fields, additional years of formal education may be regarded as equivalent work experience.
3+ years of directly related work experience (regional requirements may vary)
