职位描述
General Description: This position will provide primary oversight functions at the Kemflo (Nanjing) operations to monitor quality performance and management systems as relates to product design and manufacturing that supports Yakima Products worldwide business operations. This role will facilitate continuous process improvement programs as well as manage routine audits to ensure Kemflo -Nanjing operations implement and comply TS16949 quality system requirements as well as generate quality performance metrics.
Scope & Responsibilities:
1.Develop, conduct, document and track product and system audits to ensure on-going compliance to TS16949 quality system requirements within the Kemflo - Nanjing operation.
2.Establish detailed metrics for monitoring Kemflo - Nanjing performance to promote implementation effective high quality standards and processes
3.Drive continuous and sustainable performance improvements through the proper application of Lean and Six Sigma principles in all functional areas.
4.Monitor Kemflo material control processes to ensure all variations and modifications are documented and dispositioned.
5.Coordinate resolution of quality issues resulting from Customer complaints as well as warranty and personnel injury claims as communicated from the Yakima businesses.
6.Monitor testing activities related to new product development and sustaining engineering projects. Act as primary focal point for ensuring resolution of quality issues that may be identified.
7.Conduct regular management reviews to communicate the overall effectiveness of the Kemflo quality management system as relates to Yakima Products business operations.
8.Manage quality engineering and supplier quality management personnel to drive effective implementation of quality inputs throughout the product life cycles.
9.Conduct business with the highest standards of ethics and integrity.
Specific Duties:
1.Document plans that can be used to guide audits of all major elements of the quality and manufacturing system.
2.Publish and maintain an audit schedule.
3.Conduct weekly quality system audits to verify ongoing compliance to established procedures and processes.
4.Clearly document audit corrective action requests.
5. Develop and manage a tracking process for corrective action requests to ensure timely responses are received.
6.Evaluate corrective action requests to ensure they adequately address root cause.
7. Conduct follow-up audits to ensure corrective actions have been performed and are effective.
8.Conduct out of box audits on completed finished goods to ensure compliance with bills of material and applicable control and manufacturing plans.
9.Monitor the nonconforming material control process to ensure Yakima approval on all deviations and waivers.
10.Monitor the Kemflo source change process to ensure qualification plans are developed and executed prior to switch sources.
11.Review and approve all engineering change orders to controlled Yakima documents (drawings and specifications).
12.Oversee the development of quality performance metrics and monitor factory performance to these metrics.
13.Conduct problem communication meetings to address quality issues and ensure a closed loop process is in place to prevent recurrence.
14.Monitor testing activities to ensure they are executed in accordance with controlled plans and using specified test equipment.
15.Develop and monitor manufacturing validation testing results to ensure all anomalies are addressed prior to Kemflo releasing product for shipment.
16.Facilitate continuous process improvement project using Total Quality Management tools and techniques.
17.Oversee test laboratory functions and equipment used in validation testing.
18.Manage quality engineering and supplier quality management personnel.
Qualifications:
1. B.S Degree from an accredited college/university in engineering, Business Administration, or related discipline; or A.A. degree and fifteen (15) years of.
2.MBA or M.S. in a related field from an accredited college/university desired
3.Minimum ten (10) years experience in a lead quality management role
4.Ten (10) years experience in a manufacturing, , and/or engineering enterprise
5.Certified Quality Engineer or experience deploying advanced Total Quality Management principles
6.Metal fabrication and finishing, injection molding, thermoforming and finished goods assembly background preferred
7.Five (5) years experience in Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma, ISO 9000 and manufacturing methods and procedures preferred
8.The ability to communicate effectively with people both inside and outside the company
9.Advanced PC's skills: Microsoft Office Suite - Outlook, Word, Excel, and Project Management
10.Ability to travel internationally without restrictions
11.English and Chinese (Mandarin) language skills
Physical Requirements:
1.Able to sit and work at a computer keyboard for extended periods of time
2.Able to stoop, kneel, bend at the waist and reach on a daily basis
3.Able to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally
4.Able to perform general office and administrative duties: copying, filing, using a telephone, etc.
5.Must have corrected vision to 20/30
6.Must be able to distinguish colors and tints
7.Must not be color blind
8.Requires close vision abilities
9.Must be able to work overtime and/or weekends as required
10.Travel as required via ground and air transportation.
