职位描述:
POSITION MAIN DUTIES
a) Environmental
? Liaise with Department of Environment locally;
? Ensure compliance to Environmental Quality;
? Coordinate Waste Management and Waste Minimization, Spill Control and Recycling Programs;
? Liaise with waste disposal contractor to ensure all scheduled wastes disposed according to the legal requirements.
b) Safety
? Advise management on applicable requirements to safety and health and provide recommendations to comply with the requirements;
? Ensure compliance to fire protection and prevention;
? Coordinate annual Fire Drills and work with F&U to ensure fire protection systems are well maintained and fully-operational at all times;
? Coordinate and facilitate ESH activities related to ESH procedures, and improvement programs;
? Responsible in developing, implementing and maintaining safety and health programs;
? Assist safety & health committee to organize/ implement safety and health activities in promoting occupational safety & health culture in the company;
? Regularly coordinate and conduct safety training and safety awareness campaigns;
? Act as internal ESH (Environmental, Safety and Health) auditor;
? Acting as OSH Committee Secretary as per the requirement stated in the OSHA Act 1994;
? Conduct accident / incident investigations and carry out the necessary follow-up actions;
? Analyze & trend leading & lagging indicators pertaining to safety and health matters;
? Assure proper record-keeping of results (e.g. OSHA logs) in all areas. Develop effective and efficient reporting mechanisms to meet regulations and keep plant leadership informed of the ESH performance.
c) Health
? Coordinate Industrial Hygiene sampling strategy; evaluations and develop corrective action plans.
? Monitor compliance to relevant food handling act , regulations and guidelines
? Organize promotional activities to enhance health awareness among company's plants associates.
? Coordinate pest control activities and other indoor air quality related activities
d) Security
? Manage emergency preparedness plan and procedures.
? Manage plant security team and development plan of the security team's competencies.
? Maintain strategic plan for the security of company plants properties.
? Liaise with relevant local authorities such as nearest Police Station on security related activities and investigation purposes.
? Keep plant management informed of information and security issues which may impact the company.
? Monitor overall compliance by associates, contractors, visitors and others in plants premises.
? Manage and make necessary arrangements for company bus for the transportation of company associates in company-sanctioned activities. Monitor and manage the company bus maintenance schedule for minimal down-time.
Performance Evaluation Criteria:
? Health and safety performance of the plant according to set targets.
? Visible continuous improvement results.
? Achievement of Manufacturing Goals and objectives.
QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE:
? Educational/professional qualifications required:
? Min: Professional Certificate in Occupational Safety and Health, approved by Local Registered Safety & Health Officer
? Knowledge in environmental / occupational health and safety laws, regulations and codes.
? Preferably 5 years of experience in manufacturing environment;
? Fluent in English, both verbal and written.
