职位描述
Main responsibilities:
The candidate will work on Informix in a Unix/Linux Environment and play a key resource for Informix design, configuration, administration, problem solving. The Major responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
? Configuration, administer Informix on Unix/Linux Environment.
? Informix Performance tunning and troubleshooting .
? Informix data recovery after disaster.
? Configure and administer clustering software for Informix.
? Install patches/ upgrades for informix if necessary.
? Make scripts/cronjobs to automate system administration task.
Other responsibilities include:
1. Tracking and handling all issues on the whole system and ensuring incidents are resolved according to the Service Level Agreements held with third parties.
2. Keep up to date configuration document for data centre operations
3. Undertake testing of fixes and minor changes on the test environment, before release to live environment.
Qualification Requirements:
1. Bachelor or above degree in a computer related subject.
2. At least 3 year's related experience and experience of large-system support.
3. Demonstrated Informix administration experience on Unix/Linux Environment (Solaris/Redhat Linux Preferred) in a clustering environment of large-system.
4. High level of proficiency in configuration ,administration, troubleshooting of Informix database.
5. Working knowledge with Solaris/Redhat Linux system and Bash/Perl scripting skills
6. Demonstrated experience with clustering software.
7. Excellent understanding of support processes and issue resolution, with a good understanding of Service Level Agreements and how these operate with third parties.
8. A good standard of English is vital as this work will also include liaising with the company's remote support team some of whom are based in the UK (note interviews will primarily be conducted in English).
9. Certifications which would be useful, but are not mandatory such as System Administrator for Informix etc.
