Qualifications
Minimum BSEE/MSEE with 3+ years experience in application engineering or software engineering in
embedded area. Shall have experience in Linux BSP/Driver development for Xscale or ARM processor.
Knowledge in Windows Mobile, Windows CE or hardware will be added advantage as well as multimedia
and application software.


Internal Description
Application engineer is responsible for supporting customer design on BSP/Driver level. The
candidate must have Minimum BSEE/MSEE with 3+ years experience in application engineering or
software engineering in embedded area. Shall have experience in Linux BSP/driver software
development for Xscale or ARM processor. Knowledge in Windows Mobile, Windows CE or hardware will
be a plus as well as multimedia and application software.

In this position, the candidate will be working on customer support mostly on BSP/driver layer for
Marvell Sheeva application processors. The responsibility will include but not limited to

- Support customer applications in a timely manner by phone/email/online and possibly onsite.
- Customer board driver debug support
- Provide workaround or isolate problem then escalate to developer team
- Get customer feedback on product feature include hardware and software
- Support domestic and regional customers
- Excellent communication skills
- Good Chinese and English in reading/writing/speaking
- Willing to travel when demanded

Additional qualifications include:
- Experience in ARM-Linux* drivers developing or Windows Mobile, Windows CE BSP development
- Knowledge of Marvell AP, Intel XScale technology based PXA Application processors, or other ARM*
architecture processors
- Strong ASM*, C, C++ programming and C-coding skills
- Knowledge of embedded systems
- Knowledge of embedded operating system (OS) architecture
- Knowledge in hardware and/or application software would be an added advantage
