Main Responsibilities:

• Work closely with Director to develop each part of the Planning Process and help sell into the client.
• Proactive management of the client’s expectations
• Ability to make calculated decisions
• Ability to prioritise tasks
• Management of workflow
• Seek out and exploit opportunities with current clients to strengthen relationship, create new revenue streams and to improve overall agency rating with client
• Ensure all members of team attend and complete all relevant training courses
• Be an advocate of creative media thinking to all members of teams
• Have senior level direct media owner contact to facilitate agency profile and in the development of initiatives
• Build a relationship with client and agency counterparts

Requirements:

• Excellent grasp of communications strategy with a full understanding of how advertising works and key advertising principles
• A full understanding of clients’ business sales, competitors, customers, objectives/and a sympathetic incorporation of these considerations into the communications strategy
• Good organizational skills in handling a number of projects at the same time, being able to set priorities, keep to deadlines, work effectively under time pressure
• A thorough knowledge of the media marketplace and opportunities available and build constructive relationships with key media owners where relevant
• A sound understanding of trading issues and how this impacts on media strategy
• Possess good verbal and written communication skills, strong selling skills, strong on numeracy, literacy and accuracy
• An understanding and use of agency–bespoke tools, e.g. 3-D, Mindware etc
• A good rapport with agency colleagues across all divisions, clients, other agencies and media owners
• An innovative approach: in use of media, exploration of new forms of communication, research, presentation techniques, etc
• Expertise in all relevant industry software and systems: Telmar, Magency, PowerPoint, Word, Excel etc
• A minimum of 6-8 years’ experience
