PDU OM is part of DU IP & Broadband within BNET. As part of the new PDU OM international organization, in Beijing we develop all SPO related Packet features. In the same site we also host the related responsibility concerning System & Technology, Node Function Test, Design Maintenance and Customer Support. The local organization consists of more than 160 employees focusing on System, SW and HW design plus I&V competence to design, test and maintain our product deliveries. We run our development in programs and fully deployed Agile WoW.

I&V unit in Beijing is responsible of activities related to Node test for SPO1400 products (integrate and certify the release at functional Node level and its system characteristics). The application of continuous integration methodology and the quality criteria as verification check point represent the main unit KPIs. It is also responsible for ITTE environment set up and maintenance in DUIB China for the related OM part.

As I&V line manager in Beijing, you will report directly to PDU OM Node Function Test function and you will cooperate and communicate with colleagues both inside the local FDC Packet and with colleagues in PDU head quarter. So excellent English and inter-cultural communication skills are required as well as ability to travel abroad.

You will also support the local FDC Packet head to validate and enhance its SW and HW deliveries' quality as part of the PDU central function.

As the leader in the lean organization, you should drive and lead the full implementation of feature oriented decision model and Agile. Leadership should be in line with Ericsson Way of Working and Ways of Leading.

- Accountable for ITTE STP budget.
As a unit manager within Test and Verification there are special expectations for leading the test activities, as for example:
- Gate keeping the quality of the product and solutions by providing objective test results and recommendations to the organization & project;
- High integrity;
- Ensuring transparency of test results to management and the front end and the back end organizations, ensuring active feedback loops from Test;
- Great understanding in how the quality of the products and solutions affect PDU OM markets and customers;
- Drives for efficiency within the test activities, striving to explore new methods and new areas to test, using an Agile methodology.

Qualifications

- Strong leadership skills, results oriented, good communicational skills, good at handling resource planning and competence development.
- Self-motivated, have strong drive and initiative, ability to think and work both in the short-term and strategically in the long-term.
- Strong social skills and finds it easy to cooperate and establish relationships across organizational boundaries.
- Excellent interpersonal, presentation, written and oral communication skills.
- Previous experiences of managing verification and validation activities as a line manager will be an added advantage.
- 8+ years experience working in R&D environments for communication/system commercial products.
- 5+ years experience in routing, switching Carrier Ethernet technologies with solid understanding of IP and L2/L3 protocols (including header contents and protocol flow concepts)
- 5+ years experience line management or project management experience
- Rich knowledge of QA testing methodologies and experience in performing various testing activities like Sanity, Functional, System, Regression, Acceptance, Stress, Performance and Scalability
- Deep understanding of continuous integration technology through automation testing
- Excellent understanding of I&V(test) development, quality assurance process, automation and maintenance
- Knowledge of Java programming, automation scripting and database are preferred.
- BS in Engineering required. Masters degree preferred
