IP & BB development in Beijing, China, is a dynamic development hub for most of different IP & BB product lines, supporting Ericsson to be a world class technology leader in a dynamic market, developing competence fit for the future IP based network portfolio.

As a manager of one of our few hardware design teams, you are an integral part of DUIB China Hardware Leadership Team, and expected to collaborate with colleagues as well as drive strategic discussions together with other hardware units under the leadership of DUIB China Hardware group.

You and your team will develop and maintain Hardware products and components for the local NDOs, as well as potential future products in DUIB responsibility. Having multiple stakeholder means you are expected to drive how to best leverage the portfolio, creating common look and feel as well as common components to reduce cost and increase re-use.

You will have various type of hardware function under your leadership, covering but not only digital design, mechanical design, signal integrity and product approval.And together you will work with architect/system team, analyse the requirements and come up with innovative hardware proposals.

Your team will drive and ensure delivery on time, cost and quality, and ensure products meet worldwide regulatory agency compliance requirements, as well as lead key component and supplier selection and qualification. We are moving into new ways of working and experience of using Agile methods in HW development is of high importance.

You and your team will also participate in Innovation, Agile transformation and other strategic programs across DUIB China, drive cost improvements, technology leadership, strategic competence planning, and explore and understand competitive landscape in both product and business terms. As the market is dynamic, you are expected to be an excellent change manager with a pro-active approach to stay on top, broadening the competence of your people based on strategic insights.

Description of Responsibilities
· Responsible for the quality of products.
· Secure project delivery, on time, on cost.
· Improves HW design team process, WoW, enhance team efficiency
· Manage stakeholders (NDO, PDU) and collaborate with NDO leadership team
· Controls line operational budget to reduce cost per head
· Drives Innovation activities, brings business value
· Develops people ‘s competence, Identify and plan teamstrategically competence
· People performance management, target setting,review and follow-up
· Resource & capacity management
· Lead business change, org change

Qualifications

· MS or BS degree in computer science or telecom area and at least 6 years working experience in HW design.
· At least 2 years people management experience
· Strong knowledge of Communication systems, such as Transmission networks (PDH, SDH/SONET, Metro Ethernet MEF etc) and IP Access Aggregation (TCP/IP, Ethernet Switching, Routing, QoS etc)
· Right business sense, be able to understand NDO, PDU level business strategy
· Strong experience in HW design process, tools
· Have experience in largescaleHW design project and setting up HW platform, process
· Good personality with open mind, learning capacity, team working spirit and Creative thinking
· Good communication skills, being able to work in a multi-culture environment
