The Embedded Software Engineer will be responsible for the design and development of firmware applications through the product design development process including requirements gathering, architecture and low-level design, coding, debugging, testing, release, and maintenance. The engineer will communicate effectively with customers (both internal and external), project managers and team members in a cross-functional international environment. Firmware applications could be related to products based on low power micro controllers, high-end processors, RTOS or bare metal.
Here is a glimpse of what you will do:
61 Interact with cross-functional teams in developing detailed requirements, architecture, and design.
61 Firmware development for Linux and/or 08Controller based platforms in support of lifestyle products.
61 Evaluate available BSP and third-party software components to identify key gaps and development needs.
61 Create tools and/or select and integrate third-party tools for test automation and system integration.
61 Develop, modify, and debug system scripts, driver level, or user-level software to meet the requirements.
61 Participate in board bring-up, debug, and development of new hardware in support of system software.
61 Review and provide recommendations for system test plan content, execution, and tools.
61 Debug issues across all levels of the software stack to meet requirements.
61 Unit-test code for robustness and general reliability.
61 Involve in technical and functional documentation.
61 Follow Design site's product development lifecycle process and procedures.
Here is some of what you will need (required):
61 B. E / B. Tech / M. E / M. Tech in Electric/Electronics/Computers with relevant experience.
61 5~10 years of industry experience in 08Controller based systems, embedded Linux, and embedded software at the scripting, system software, driver, middleware, and user level.
61 Familiarity with-edge SoCs and their hardware and software support for wireless, home automation, networking, and control systems.
61 Experience integrating and debugging software stacks for USB, Image processing, Audio / Video, Display, Touch Panel, Sensors, WLAN, Bluetooth, GPS.
61 Experience configuring and building Embedded BSP from source components; modifying build scripts and adding new software components as required.
61 Hands-on knowledge of test tools for wireless systems in embedded devices.
61 Strong interpersonal and communication skills; capable of writing appropriate documentation and interacting with other engineering disciplines.
61 Results-oriented work ethic and the ability to work effectively.
