Sales Manager
This is a work-from-home position and is open to part-time.
About the role
As a Sales Manager, you will be responsible for leading and managing a team of sales professionals to achieve sales targets, drive revenue growth, and foster client relationships. Your role involves providing strategic direction, coaching and development, and performance management to ensure the success of the sales team.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Team Leadership and Management:
- Lead and motivate a team of sales representatives to meet and exceed sales targets and objectives.
- Provide guidance, direction, and support to sales team members, including setting clear expectations and goals, conducting regular performance evaluations, and delivering feedback.
- Foster a positive and collaborative team environment, promoting accountability, teamwork, and professional development.
2. Sales Strategy and Planning:
- Develop and implement sales strategies and tactics to drive revenue growth and market expansion.
- Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitor activity to identify opportunities for business development and competitive advantage.
- Doing joint sales work with new staff and supporting the sales team.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, product development, and operations, to align sales efforts with organizational goals and priorities.
3. Client Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders, acting as a trusted advisor and partner in addressing their needs and objectives.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities through prospecting, lead generation, and networking activities.
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and retention through proactive communication, problem-solving, and follow-up.
4. Sales Performance Optimization:
- Monitor and analyse sales performance metrics, including sales pipeline, conversion rates, and revenue targets, to track progress and identify areas for improvement.
- Develop and implement sales training programs, process improvements, tools, and resources to enhance the skills and effectiveness of the sales team.
5. Forecasting and Reporting:
- Prepare and present regular sales forecasts, reports, and analyses to senior management, providing insights into sales performance, trends, and opportunities.
- Utilize CRM systems and other sales technology tools to track sales activities, manage customer relationships, and generate accurate sales forecasts.
Qualifications and Skills:
- At least 5 years of experience in sales management, preferably in the solar or renewable energy industry.
- Strong leadership and team-building skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate others to achieve results.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with clients and collaborate effectively with internal teams.
- Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities, focusing on driving business growth and profitability.
- Results-oriented mindset, with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and objectives.
- Proficiency in CRM software and other sales technology tools.
- Fluent in both spoken and written English.
