Responsibilities:
? Algorithm Development: Design, develop, and implement algorithms for LiDAR systems, focusing on tasks such as point cloud processing, feature extraction, and object detection.
? Object Detection and Classification: Create algorithms for accurate and efficient detection and classification of objects in the LiDAR point cloud, including pedestrians, vehicles, and obstacles.
? Mapping and Localization: Develop algorithms for simultaneous localization and mapping (SLAM) to improve the accuracy of LiDAR-based mapping and navigation systems.
? Calibration: Implement calibration algorithms to ensure the accurate alignment and synchronization of multiple LiDAR sensors within a system.
? Performance Optimization: Optimize algorithm performance for real-time processing, considering computational efficiency and resource utilization.
? Validation and Testing: Collaborate with testing teams to validate and test LiDAR algorithms under various scenarios, ensuring robustness and reliability.
? Collaboration: Work closely with hardware engineers, software developers, and cross-functional teams to integrate LiDAR algorithms into overall system architecture.
? Research and Innovation: Stay abreast of the latest advancements in LiDAR technology, sensor fusion, and computer vision to contribute to the continuous improvement of algorithms.

Qualifications:
? Educational Background: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Robotics, or a related field.
? LiDAR and Sensor Expertise: In-depth knowledge of LiDAR technology, sensor characteristics, and data processing techniques.
? Algorithm Development Skills: Proficiency in developing algorithms for point cloud processing, object detection, and sensor fusion.
? Programming Languages: Strong programming skills, especially in languages such as C++, Python, or MATLAB, for algorithm implementation and testing.
? Computer Vision: Familiarity with computer vision concepts and techniques, particularly as applied to LiDAR data.
? Mathematics and Signal Processing: Solid understanding of mathematical concepts and signal processing techniques relevant to LiDAR data analysis.
? Software Tools: Experience with relevant software tools and libraries used in LiDAR algorithm development, such as ROS (Robot Operating System) and PCL (Point Cloud Library).
? Simulation Tools: Familiarity with simulation tools to model and test LiDAR algorithms in virtual environments.
? Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address challenges related to LiDAR data processing and interpretation.
? Communication Skills: Clear communication skills to convey complex technical concepts and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
