Primary Responsibilities:

• Take ownership to design, develop and validate firmware for lighting/energy management product applications following GE Lighting/Savant software development processes
• Work with system teams/electronics engineer/hardware engineer on defining product system specifications, design trade off, validation test, product & Process Qualification.
• Participate the system verification and validation, including the mobile app, LED driver, RF module, etc.
• Collaborate with cloud/app team to fix bugs
• Generate written firmware reports and documentation as needed. Maintain accurate documentation of concepts, designs, drawings, and processes
• Effective communication with local and global teams during program execution. Proactively manage technical risks and communicates to stakeholders
• Have high potential to lead team and coach other team members

Qualifications Required:

• Bachelor degree and above in electronics/communication/automation/Computer science/etc.
• > 3 years experience with Embedded systems and programming
• Solid experience with DALI or DMX control projects
• Proficiency on the C and C++ program skills, Strong debugging skills
• Previous knowledge or experience of different IP/wireless communication protocols such as Zigbee, BLE or WiFi etc is considered as a plus
• Previous experience of using Github/Jira or other software development tools is a plus
• Good interpersonal and communication skills, must be able to communicate effectively both in written and oral English in a global team.
• Able to manage and prioritize complicated tasks. Project management experience and skills are plus.
• Self-motivated and capable of working independently on extended assignments. Excellent team player. Quick learner and keen problem solver.
