Job Description

• Job summary:

• Take responsibility in the expanding Agile China team for software testing, integration and Quality Assurance;

• In this position, you will work on the next generation HVAC IoT projects with local and international partners;

• Ensure software quality through the definition and execution of software test plans based on functional and non-functional requirements. You will be part of a Scrum team and shall support and coach the team in the implementation of high quality products;

• Be the team ambassador for Software Quality Assurance and ensure the Software development framework is followed through the various release phases.

• Tasks:

• Independent requirement analysis for software considering the customer specifications;

• Create test strategy to fulfil the product specification and customer requirements;

• Implementation and integration of automated and manual test cases

• Perform component tests, integration tests and system tests in complex environment and architecture;

• Actively participate in project planning and status meetings;

• Responsible for software integration and testing topics, coordinating tasks within team and projects;

• Test and analyze the software of different HVAC components in the system context down to bus and wireless communication level to guarantee failure free operation of the system;

• Create system test plans based on the software baseline specification and project requirements, to guarantee the required test coverage for release of the product;

• Maintain active network with Testing and QA Engineers in other locations worldwide to ensure knowledge share and up to date development tools and competencies;

• Team work – also cross-departmental- for the improvement of software development processes and methods.

Qualifications

Requirements:

• University degree of Software engineering, electrical and computer engineering or similar;

• Knowledge of embedded software solutions;

• Knowledge of Test Design, Test Case Management, Test Automation, Bug Tracking, Version Control, Continuous Integration;

• Advantages: Code optimization, profiling and run-time analysis; ISTQB Certification;

• Good knowledge of electronics hardware and electronic components, especially MCU and connectivity related components;

• Knowledge of data communication wired (e.g. bus) and wireless (e.g. RF, Zigbee, BLE, Wi-fi);

• Previous experience in working in Agile & Scrum product development environment and tools;

• Awareness of quality and cost;

• Excellent communication skills with local and international teams and self-confidence;

• Analytical and cross-divisional thinking with an outside the box problem solving approach;

• Ability to work under pressure;

• Fluent in English (verbal and written);

• Available for local and international travel.
