职位描述
- The job holder is accountable for the achievement of the assigned sales objectives through the Smith & Nephew organizations in Greater China.
- Participation in the development of the business/sales strategy for profitable sales growth and effective communication of the strategy to ensure its implementation. Retaining, building and developing critical relationships with authorities and key customers.
- The job holder is responsible for setting sales targets for the business, territory and sales individuals drive key/core products to meet or exceed the sales growth objectives.
- Determine country revenue and profit for the business by reviewing sales records and reports to determine profitability.
- Consolidating and optimizing the commercial policies, with the objective of creating a most cost-effective business structure to deliver aggressive business targets.
- Assessing and identifying market opportunities, formulating corresponding strategies and action plans. Building and managing new and existing business relationships and product portfolio while developing the foundation for future growth in the market.
- Making recommendations on capital expenditures, investments and business expansion, as well as coordinating the management of projects and activities, once approved.
- Acting as key representative of the business to the government bodies, professional organizations and other external contacts.
- Creating a professional, open, teamwork focused culture, where there are substantial amounts of transparence and frequent communication with the team.
- Developing effective communication channels and working relationships with regional and global headquarters.
- Ensuring ethical promotion of products to medical practitioners and hospitals. Ensure that self and all team members comply with ‘Code of Ethics’ as prescribed by the company from time to time.
REQUIREMENTS
Ideal Experience / Skills
The ideal candidate will come from a MNC in the medical device, pharmaceutical, FMCG or related sector with the ability to drive operational effectiveness and sales and marketing excellence. He/she will have proven experience and knowledge of:
- Leading, mentoring and energizing ambitious and talented sizable business team of multi product lines.
- Delivering on agreed budgets for sales and profitability in a high growth company and would be able to develop and execute launch plans.
- Building strategic relationships with key partners and customers.
- Maintaining rigorous standards of compliance in order to support bidding and tendering initiatives and external audit processes.
- Operating in a very fast paced, entrepreneurial environment.
- Possessing tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline, with preferably a postgraduate degree such as MBA.
The person will be involved in strategic planning that ensures profitability through revenue growth, margin improvement, cost control and operational excellence. He/She will have experience in a senior management role from related industries or companies, which has significant operations in China. He/She will also need to have a wider perspective to provide leadership, strategic vision and take a long-term view of the market.
The person must have the stature and the presence to quickly move into an organization and gain the respect and confidence of his/her staff, peers and supervisors within the company. He/She must also have the ability to work under pressure and be an agent of change and change management within the company, a drive and energy that will rapidly accelerate the current pace of growth in the China market.
