Job Overview This is a senior strategy and business development position reporting to the VP of corporate strategic programs at US headquarters. He or she is a key member of business strategy development for China, particularly on building strategic direction and relationships to help company grow and profit in China. She or he will work very closely with China’s sales leadership team to build and guide relationships both internally with the US headquarters and externally with strategic partners and customers in China. A successful candidate will be able to demonstrate a strong understanding and extensive network in the EDA/IP marketplace and must possess excellent interpersonal skills. She or he must be a strategic thinker with acumen of developing or capturing business opportunities, and also an influencer who can work in a dynamic cross functional management team. He or she will have proven record in building strategies and developing significant businesses in China. The successful candidate is a person who is comfortable with ambiguity and multi-tasking, extremely agile, and simply roll up the sleeves to get thing done. Responsibilities and Duties

· Research emerging trends, identify business opportunities, and build China growth strategy by working closely with China sales and US leaderships teams;

· Identify, build or enhance strategic partnerships to open new market and lead new initiative to drive sales growths.

· Managing existing partnerships, and inform them about key business developments;

· Collaborate with China marketing team to ensure proper branding or introducing new campaigns.

· Perform strategic planning, develop and presenting proposal to company executives and management teams.

· Work with sales, operation, and legal to form new or complex deal structures;

· Support sales organization in negotiating sound business deals;

· Assess business risks by analyzing financial, statistical, economic data and geopolitical situation;

· Conduct make-versus-buy analysis from a partnership/merger/acquisition perspective for corporate M&A team

· Help explore and evaluate investment opportunities for China Venture Fund;

· Liaison with China local RD leaders and assists executives on China human capital strategy

Qualifications

· Bachelor’s degree in science or engineering; MBA from a top school is a big plus;

· Typically has 15 years of experiences in EDA industry and/or semiconductor ecosystem, on both technical and commercial roles, including direct experiences in marketing, sales, business strategy and business development works;

· Proven record in relationship management, business development, and significant impact on company's long term objective and business goals.

· Innovative leader with a decisive style and passionate attentiveness to current and future customer trends.

· He/She must have outstanding strategic thinking and analytical skills, yielding sound judgement, best practice, and innovative solutions;

· He/she has result oriented mindset, strong problem-solving skills, creativity and attention to details. Sets aggressive goals, establish metrics, and frequently follow-ups;

· Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications;

· An effective communicator, ability to convey complex concept in verbal and written communications; Able to interact with different levels of management and people with different personality styles

· A great influencer, ability to manage cross function activities, and maximize efficiency
