Walter in Dalian is seeking for an OEM Engineer

Walter offers a comprehensive range of innovative tool solutions for turning, drilling, milling and threading operations, as well as multilevel service programs. Walter has a total of around 3,800 employees and around 50 subsidiaries and distribution partners worldwide.

The five competence brands of Walter, Walter Titex, Walter Prototyp, Walter Valenite and Walter Multiply, are united under one company umbrella. With a product range of around 49,000 catalogue tools for milling, drilling, turning and threading, Walter is a complete service provider for the metalworking industry. Specialists working in the relevant competence brands jointly develop integrated processing solutions for machining. Here their comprehensive expertise in the automotive sector, the aerospace industry, energy, rail transport and general mechanical engineering stands them in good stead.

The position would directly report to OEM Manager, below please refer to the job description:

Job Purpose:

Consulting and supporting of Walter OEM customers for Turn Key projects.

Exchange of information on upcoming projects.

Work out a technical and economical quotation or Supporting and advising project engineers in designing in projects.

Participation in project meetings.

Support during acceptance tests (pre- acceptance and final acceptance).

Continuous improvements of processes in order to improve the effectiveness of the area of responsibility.

Your profile:

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent the oretical and practical experience

• At least 3 years sales or application experience in tool / machine tools

• work experience in CAD, 2D or 3D

• Excellent communication skills

• English in order to communicate both ways: spoken and written

• Naturally & balanced personality

• Success & result orientated personality

As a person you are proactive, self-motivated and one with lot of initiative, courage and integrity and a business minded, result oriented attitude. You also have strong communication skills and can work in an English environment.
