Position Summary:

The role provide overall financial leadership and guidance for the Oleo chemical plant in China, and ensures that all financial commitments are achieved. This includes developing financial strategy, including risk minimization plans and opportunity forecasting. The role also provides high-level financial reporting and analysis and regular budget consolidation.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

· Ensure the preparation of timely and accurate monthly management accounts and reports for operational management

· Responsibility for all journals and final GL balances including review of month end balance sheet reconciliations and control accounts

· Ensure the integrity of the Group’s accounting records and financial systems

· Production of statutory accounts for the Group and its various subsidiary companies as and when required in accordance with the relevant accounting principles and legislation of the countries in which they operate

· Actively involve and providing relevant and timely financial information to enable a balanced and objective assessment of the Group’s strategy and objectives

· Preparation of budgets, forecasts and business plans and continued monitoring and review of performance against them to enable robust reporting of variances to the Board and stakeholders

· Effectively manage working capital components with specific attention to stock, debtors & cash balances

· Active management of overheads whilst seeking out areas for efficiencies for savings

· Actively assisting the risk assessment process and embedding a risk management culture throughout the organization

· Ensure returns for Corporation tax, GST and other relevant taxes are submitted, payments made on time and all relevant regulations are complied

· Effectively manage, motivate and develop the Finance department

· Supervise and review performance of individuals in the team

· Implementation of a change management culture by challenging and replacing established processes and procedures where necessary

· Give direction and leadership towards the achievement of each business unit’s strategy and its annual goals and objectives

· Liaise with different departments to ensure the Finance dept is properly supporting the needs of the operating businesses

· Manage relationships with auditors, tax advisers, brokers, bankers and other parties

· Keep key stakeholders up to date on progress against key milestones

· Ensure the BU Head is kept informed of Industry developments which are relevant to the operation of an efficient finance function

· Carry out any further tasks for which my qualifications & experience are suited as directed by the Company

Job Requirements

· Bachelor Degree in Accounting

· Minimum 12 years’ related experience. Those work in oleo chemical or chemical industry will be an added advantage

· Possess good finance standard practices

· Possess good technical and problem solving skills

· Possess good business & financial acumen with leadership & communication skills.

· Possess comprehensive technical knowledge and problem solving skills.

· Possess strong strategic abilities and a wide network of contacts.

· Results-oriented and performance driven
