Position Summary: This position includes two major functions like product promotion and partial sales work, especially for technical support to customers like recommending product and application/solutions, also need to support relevant sales manager to handle quotation/bidding work and achieve business goal. This person needs to work closely with internal function teams and should be very familiar with our products, and knows how to leverage internal resource. He/She needs to have good business sense and follow-up to major opportunities from inquiry to delivery, report ‘design-in and design-win’ reports to sales manager. He/she may also need to support Marcom activities in local and installation work of instruments. Others like collecting market information and deal with sample products, demo equipment could be arranged by his/her supervisor.
技术销售工程师,兼具了产品推广工程师和部分销售的职能,其中主要是为客户提供产品和方案的技术服务,回答客户的技术问题并支持销售经理完成所负责区域的业绩。技术销售工程师需要和内部团队紧密合作,对公司的产品和应用要非常熟悉,也知道如何获取有效的信息和协作。他/她对重要商机和项目的进展要有把控度,从询报价到交货的跟进工作,也需要定期提交产品推荐选型方面的报告;有时候也需要协助部分市场活动以及售后工作,如本地展会支持以及仪器的安装调试和维修等。其它事项如市场分析,样品/样机/物料管理等服从上级主管的安排。
Essential Functions:
Work with sales team to collect customer’s needs, like product list and BOM, to check and recommend our suitable/alternative products, a professional product proposal is expected.
Provide technical support to customer upon their requests like datasheet/sales sheet, and explain/reply customer’s technical questions, to convince customer to select the right products.
Work with internal teams in US and China, with deep understanding to customer’s application in the field, come out application proposals with products, promote the solution/application to customers.
Work with sales team to identify and evaluate the business opportunities and competition status; support sales manager as business assistant from inquiry to delivery.
Well manage demo kits, sample machines and products in responsible area. Keep and ensure these demo products are in good condition and ready for demo use in customer side.
He/she needs to help post-sales service in local, coordinate with technical service team in Shanghai to finish installation and validation work if necessary. Sometimes also need to help on basic maintenance work, which may bring good customer experience and gain reputation in the market.
Support Marcom activities like product show in responsible area, provides technical support during the marketing activity.
Need to submit weekly demand creation report, include customer name, project information, what products under promotion, status and possible win/close date, etc.
Performs other duties as assigned by manager.
Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:
Prefer having 2+ years technical work in R&D Lab, QC Lab and or Pharma production field; or 2+ years as technical service engineers in life science/Pharma industry.
Major in bioscience with bachelor degree as preferred.
Good written and spoken English skills required.
Familiar with MS Office (PPT and Excel in particular), and CRM tools
Fast learner

Must possess a strong work ethic, be trustworthy and maintain a high degree of integrity.
Working Conditions:
Visit customer and meet their R&D or Production engineers to recommend or explain our technology.
Sits in front of computer for business quotation, search product information, etc.
Frequent writing and reading in both English and Chinese
Few travels upon business needs.
