Purpose:

Manage project sourcing activities. Drive cost saving activities through VE/CE etc. Fully interact with CM, supplier quality engineering (SQE) and buyer to identify supplier development opportunities and define programs that optimize supplier performance. Actively drive productivity, working capital, lead time reduction, hedging, eSourcing and other key activities required to maximize the financial contribution. Negotiate sourcing supply agreement or private label supply agreement with suppliers to control business risks.

Specific responsibilities Include:

Productivity/Working Capital 70%

2  Plan and execute supplier negotiations to obtain best-in-class pricing, terms and conditions. Overall manage price strategy (scale price, contract) and support Commodity manager for more productivity.

2  Establish a continuous project deck pipeline and conduct regular reviews to deliver to an Annual Operating Plan (AOP) .

2  Implement practices to enable technology-driven processes including e-Auctions of major spend opportunities.

Actively work together with global Sourcing co-workers to leverage Honeywell spending to extract benefits for the company.

NPI / Transition projects management 30%

2  Support NPI sourcing using a collaborative approach to ensure that project targets are met regarding schedule, cost, quality and other key measures

Education:  

University degree

CPM or CIPS certification is a plus.

Experience: 

5+ years experience in an automotive, industrial, aerospace or similar global high-mix manufacturing business

Minimum of 3 years experience in a Supply Management/Sourcing/Procurement management role

Experience building and leading global sourcing teams with an emphasis in China

Experience with factory start-ups and/or improving sustaining operations

Working knowledge of the regional Asia-Pacific supply base

Fluent in both English and Mandarin

Physically healthy as the individual must be able to travel up to 50% of the time

Emotional maturity to handle multiple tasks under pressure
