Objectives:

For JV matters, the role encompasses the design and implementation of control and reporting processes in the JV and other subjects stipulated under JV contract. For INEOS matters, the role needs to ensure where decisions involve shareholder interests are to be made, proper processes takes place and decisions are taken in accordance with the Delegation of Authority.

Main tasks:

To ensure the integrity of the reporting of Financial results under different accounting conventions.

To ensure the existence of proper internal control environment in the JV.

To coordinate the preparation of business plans, and preparation of management information.

To protect INEOS interest via compliance of JV agreement, Code of Conduct, participation in JV’s daily investment decisions and management team meetings.

To work closely with the Acetyls business in decisions relating to shareholder interest. The role is accountable for JV planning in the Finance organization.

To work with the Acetyls IT team to ensure correct IT controls are in place within the Joint venture.

To manage the relationship between INEOS and the JV’s local bankers and external advisors

To co-ordinate tax matters between the JV and its partners.

Requirements:

University or college graduate, CICPA or ACCA (or equivalent) is desirable. MBA is also desirable.

10 years working experience in Finance related area. Ability to connect with and influence the JV partner is the key in the success of this role.

Successful experience in handling complex JV partner relationship is important. The role requires the ability to manage conflicting priorities in a JV.

Networking effectively with the JV partners, Acetyls BU Control team, and with the Asian Manager network is essential.

Leading, influencing and coaching the JV staff to develop and implement best practice accounting and financial management models and building a strong control and assurance environment and team to underpin the growth of the JV business are major activities for the role.
