Job Requirement:

BSc in chemistry (organic chemistry).

Good knowledge of English language.

Completed vocational training as a chemical laboratory or chemical technician / synthesis technician.

Observation and manual skill.

Knowledge of the properties of chemical substances used, particularly toxicity, reactivity, and risk potential.

Knowledge of expected chemical reactions, in particular dangerous reactions.

Knowledge of and compliance with accident prevention regulations, guidelines and information sheets.

Knowledge of the activities of chemical laboratory related environmental hazards (air and water pollution and odour).

Cooperation and teamwork skills.

Job Task:

Execution of work instructions, order notes and regulations;

planning practical experiments.

Preparation of chemical reactions and physical processes. Calculation of operational quantities, construction and dismantling of laboratory equipment, measuring and weighing of chemicals.

Implementation of chemical reactions, experimental observation and analysis of experiments through basic operation of laboratory technique.

Carrying out finishing (introduction of auxiliaries and de-dusting) of textile dyestuffs as directed.

Performing simple preliminary application technology (e.g. laboratory dyeing).

Analytical investigation of textile dyes and their precursors (HPLC, GC, DC, determination of material characteristics), including sample preparation and analysis of test results.

Creating test requests to other departments (analytics, PD).

Compilation of test results, observations and analytical and physico-chemical investigations, as well as simple experimental evaluation.

Documentation of tests performed in the laboratory journal and/or data bases.

Transfer of laboratory procedures to the pilot-plant and operational scale.

General laboratory work (cleaning, repair and maintenance of equipment and laboratories, correct disposal of waste).

Laboratory organization (coordination of work processes, procurement of equipment, chemicals and consumables, administration of experimental samples and chemicals, monitoring of test materials).

Supervision and guidance of trainees.

Proper implementation of tests following rules and by consultation with the supervisor.

Safe work within the framework of rules, guidelines and information sheets.

Information of the supervisor.

Complete management of the experimental protocols.
