Overall purpose of job

As an IT Support Technician, he will be responsible for delivering IT service by resolving IT technical support requests in an efficient and timely manner with good quality.

Responsibilities

1. Act as level 1 IT support for  the users in Nanjing and other sites in China in various areas, like hardware/software installation/troubleshooting;  account/password ; fixed assets & warranty management;  IT purchase execution; server room maintenance; Telephone system maintenance, Wise Weight system maintenance, etc.

2. Act as one of the ticket dispatchers of all China incidents based on ServiceNow or through the IT hotline and ensure the incidents are being assigned and resolved timely.

3. Ensure high quality update in ServiceNow for each incident with root cause analysis, solution and status, etc.

4. Provide trainings to the users on various hardware and software.

5. Proactively coordinate with peers in other Asia locations in terms of issues, service requests, IT processes improvement, etc.

6. Proactively coordinate with Level 2 colleagues for escalated issues and requests.

7. Position will require being available to perform maintenance during non-business hours and over weekends, and availability for occasional business travel.

8. Ensure communication to relevant teams takes place and business users are aware of scheduled downtime if applicable.

9. Assist team member to finish various deployment and roll out new project.

Requirements:

1. Bachelor’s Degree in computer or related fields.

2. Ideally worked in a similar capacity at MNC or a new graduate who is sharp and passionate with IT technology.

3. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally over the phone and in writing.

4. Excellent problem solving skills; ability to resolve issues effectively and efficiently.

5. Proactive and service oriented.

6. A strong commitment to quality, attention to detail and proven ability to meet deadlines.

7. Must be able to work independently and also be a good team player.

8. Curious with various technologies and gadgets, and tend to be hands-on and quick to learn.

9. Good understanding on network infrastructure knowledge (protocol , ports, etc.)

10. Following experience / knowledge is a plus:

     *Cisco network equipment peripherals (Cisco Switch; Cisco Wireless Controller)

     *Programming skills (C#, Java, etc. )

     *AVAYA Telephone System

     *Vocal / Written communication in English
