Position: Marketing Manager

Reports to: Commercial Director, La Perla Beauty

Job Location: Shanghai Office


Objectives:

This newly created position aims to coordinate the launch of la Perla Beauty in China in line with the directions given by the global commercial team. The brand will initially launch with a cross border model as it cannot be registered in China yet.


Responsibilities:

The job reports to the head of commercial of La Perla Beauty in a first step and then to the head of Asia for La Perla Beauty.


This job mainly includes the following topics:


  • Develop the awareness of the newly created La Perla Beauty Brand through social media :
  • Work with the digital media agency to increase the number of followers of la Perla Beauty while creating the environment for a good level of engagement of these followers
  • Make sure the brand DNA is well conveyed in the messages post by the agency
  • Work with la Perla fashion to propose interaction with La Perla fashion consumers
  • Prepare regular reports to the team in London and Paris about the analytics of social posts and some key UGC
  • Compare and benchmarks with other beauty brands in order to learn from best in class
  • Coordinate the work of the TP to achieve the annual retail sales target :
  • Communicate the product launch plan to the TP
  • Help built the marketing plan on Tmall in coordination with the teams in London and Paris
  • Compare and benchmarks with other beauty brands in order to learn from best in class
  • Prepare monthly report on sales analysis vs target


- Support possible cross border customers : like SKP select …


- Organize pop-up events in malls or La Perla fashion stores when and where possible

  • Functional reporting : LA Perla Beauty marketing team in Paris
  • La Perla Team in China including La Perla stores
  • Possible La Perla Beauty Financial team

Requirements


  • 8 years + of experience in a marketing/brand management team for a beauty luxury/niche brand. Some experience in fashion is a plus.
  • A digital savvy who has genuine passion in developing high quality luxury brands, fashion life style tastes and a strong senses of achieving results.
  • Hands on, open minded and strategic enough to drive the right approach with consumers, and the business partners (TP and digital agency)
  • Understand budget management especially marketing budget
  • Organized, self-motivated and with proven abilities to work remotely from management while a strong team player
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with fluent English

The story began in 1954, when Ada Masotti, a corset-maker (couturière) founded the iconic lingerie brand in Bologna. La Perla is one of few historical fashion houses with a woman founder and this year marks the 65th anniversary. The brand name was inspired by the elaborate way Masotti would present her products to customers - carefully packaging them away in red velvet boxes like those you would use for jewelry.
 
The name she chose - La Perla - was certainly full of promise. Starting out when stretch fabrics had yet to appear and expert tailoring was the only way to shape a garment, Ada Masotti laid the foundations for that attention to detail and love of perfection which are still central to La Perla's philosophy today.
 
La Perla has evolved to become one of the most well-known luxury underwear brands in the world. "La Perla has changed in the same way that women have changed over the years" says the brand's Creative Director, Alessandra Bertuzzi, but "functionality, technicality, craftsmanship the key aesthetics have been preserved and respected."
 
Since 2013, La Perla was owned by Italian businessman Silvio Scaglia via its Pacific Global Management holding company. In February 2018, it was acquired by German entrepreneur Lars Windhorst under his global investment firm, Tennor Holding B.V. His mission is to take La Perla to the next level and continue Silvio’s vision of creating a worldwide luxury brand, while keeping its production in Europe.
 
La Perla’s strategic focus is shaped around maximizing its business opportunities in each region, modernizing the core business whilst staying authentic and relevant to todays’ luxury consumers and continue being true to their brand DNA, iconic collections, and core values.
 
The aim is to become a luxury everyday lingerie/intimate apparel brand and consistently deliver new and innovative products with the intention to retain loyal customers and gain new ones.
