Responsibilities:

Customer Quality Engineering

• Manage customer product quality inquires as part of coherent global support for world-wide sales

• Facilitate customer-driven quality initiatives / projects with other teams

• Lead investigation of customer complaints and coordinate root-cause analysis (i.e. 8D reports)

• Ensure effective and efficient corrective actions are implemented for internal/external customers

  Continual Improvement and Process Health

• Work with senior management to implement quality management roadmap

• Monitor product and process health

• Develop and manage monthly and quarterly quality reports

• Review and monitor quality performance indicators to ensure issue containment and the ongoing effectiveness of corrective actions.

• Support supplier qualification and audits as needed.

• Lead on-site surveys when supplier performance indicates a need for corrective action 

Requirements:

• Excellent oral and written communication skills demonstrated by the ability to communicate across all levels of the organization, as well as to customers and suppliers; Able to focus, self-direct, and maintain strong interpersonal skills as part of a team environment  

• Strong knowledge of Failure Mode and Affect Analysis (FMEA), Statistical Process Control (SPC), Design of Experiments (DOE), statistical methods, control plans, 8D problem solving and other analytical tools, and Quality Management methods (Lean 6Sigma, TQM etc) 

• Excellent understanding of quality management tools, certifications (ISO 9001 etc)

• Thrives in a goal-oriented and deadline-driven work environment 

• Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables
