Role Overview:

Finance Manager in Smith & Nephew Shanghai is responsible, a team player, tries his/her best to make S+N a great place to work and upholds the company's cultures: Care, Collaboration and Courage.

Key Roles and Responsibilities: ·Support China Controller, Regional Tax and FBP Head on tax related duties, which includes and not limited to the following:

1.Closely working with global tax, 3rd party tax firms and business on transfer pricing planning and implementation; ensure TP is optimized without additional regulatory risks.

2.Closely working with regional tax team (direct/indirect) and 3rd party tax firms, review the tax data prepared by GBS, and ensure all the tax operation and regular tax filings are accurate and compliant with regulation requirement.

3.Act as the contact person for tax bureau and other government departments (for example, National Statistical Bureau and etc.), respond to their regular or ad hoc request for information.

4.Support tax audit and lead on-location liaison with support from regional tax and 3rd party tax firms.

·Closely work with China Controller, Global Treasury, FBP head on treasury related matters, manage the relationship with local banks, and minimize cash flow risks:

1.Support in monthly cash flow forecast and provide feedback and advice to business.

2.Key support in ensuring sufficient bank facilities are in place to meet business needs; provide instructions on inter-bank cash transfers, BAD management and etc.

3.Act as the subject matter expert, actively communicate with global counter parties on China SAFE and banks requirement, and manage non-trade payment plan in foreign currency.

4.Provide advice and guidance to PTP on special payment including Share save Stock option payment and other misc. payment in foreign currency

·Assist China Controller in management/statutory reporting, compliance and control, and department management:

1.Support statutory audit; assist China Controller in on-location liaison with auditors

2.Assist China Controller in liaising with in-country non-Finance control owners on MAPS and SOX compliance related work.

3.Assist China Controller in Finance budget management

4. Support China Controller and FBP to apply/renew various government qualifications for S&N on a needed basis; ensure the Company is qualified for government subsidies.

5.other ad hoc tasks assigned by Controller and FBP head.

Education: Graduate of a four-year course from a reputable school preferably with excellent academic background; Degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance, Business, Management (preferable but not limited to).

Professional experiences: At least five years solid experience in major aspects of financial management

Competences: Fluent in English and Chinese; strong communication and influencing skills; team player and can work under pressure;
