As a Test Manager – the responsibilities include the following –

• Be the single point of accountability on Schedule, Cost and Quality of all QA related activities for the products owned including functional, non-functional requirements.
• Responsible to drive strategic improvements in the QA process/tools/test approach deployments to deliver year over year improvements in quality, cycle time and cost. Drive and deliver on 100% test automation.
• Be the single point of escalation of QA activities for Product Management as well as R&D Development teams.
• Develop leadership succession plans, talent/capability improvement plan for the team and own the actions from these plans.
• Provide the QA estimates as part of portfolio planning, release planning and work with the team leads on sprint planning.
• Lead teams that are part of the agile execution in support of product development and release cycles
• Develop and mature the estimation models for different stages of portfolio planning, release planning and sprint planning.
• Develop management operating system to monitor progress to plan on product commitments, proactively identify risks and develop mitigation plans, engage with the R&D development teams for sprint and release success.
• Drive capability improvement in the team to ensure 100% of team members are adept at domain skills as well as automation skills.
• Provide necessary leadership support to help teams achieve 100% continuous improvement and own the year-over-year improvements that are financially measurable.
• Define goals for the team members, drive excellence in execution and raise the bar of performance.
• Create an energetic and a competitive work environment that promotes new thought process, innovation in solving problems and fearless to express risks in execution.
• Role model values and behaviors to the team to drive execution excellence, continuous improvement mindset, innovation and continuous learning.
• Deploy best practices and work along with the Test Architect, Process-Tools leader and Automation leader to execute the improvements driven across the teams. Be the change champion to positively adopt changes.
• Mentor and work with the existing team to improve leadership in the team.
• Proactively identify areas of improvement and help streamline operations.
• Challenge the current baseline KPIs for QA and drive for better, stronger, faster test suite.

Leadership & Technical skills

• >10 years of experience is working across development & testing and at least 3 years as a QA manager in software products across different tech stacks.
• Working knowledge on the ERP products for different industries such Process, Manufacturing, Retail etc.
• Strong project management skills. Ability to understand metrics and the insights behind them to take proactive actions.
• Experienced in agile process, methods and environment.
• Proven track record of driving and influencing change and improvements in large teams.
• Good stakeholder management and assertive communication skills a must.
• Ability to understand Big picture of the requirements & has right experience with Test Architecture and Design.

• Ability to lead large teams toward bigger objective and raise the bar of performance continuously.
