Job Description

§？ Research and development of innovative Industry 4.0 and automation concepts for Bosch manufacturing plants in China and worldwide

§？ Research includes but is not limited to innovative concepts for robotics control and robot-human-collaboration, safety systems, two-arm robotics, vision and robotics

§？ Advanced development of automation use cases and systems, development of demonstrators and proof-of-concepts

§？ Application of use cases (robotics and automation) in Bosch plants in China and worldwide

§？ Cooperation with Bosch business units worldwide for requirement analysis, technology transfer, and to evaluate market attractiveness of new concepts

§？ Scouting, identification and tracking of new trends and emerging technologies in China, derive impacts on Bosch research strategy and identify key partners

§？ Collaborate with leading Chinese research institutes and participate in / lead joint projects

Qualifications

§？ PhD in the field of mechatronics, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, automation technology, computer science, or related

§？ Practical experience in factory automation and robotics programming, ideally experience in computer vision

§ Especially in the fields of edge data processing, semantic data integration and production data analytics

§？ Good knowledge of robotic control and robotic operating systems

§？ International experience is a plus

§？ Passion for innovation & entrepreneurial mindset

§？ Initiative and ability to lead research projects and implementation of research results in industrial environment

§？ Strong team player with autonomous and efficient working style

§？ Excellent communication skills, fluent in Chinese and English (oral and written)
