职位描述

The Role

To proactively promote the VSC business by supporting the Sales team members in achieving sales targets. To provide our customers the highest possible, professional and friendly level.


 

What you can expect from us? 


  • To manage product support activities within the China VSC organisation.

  • Grow and develop Product Specialist team in product and technology knowledge, understanding of market trend, awareness of customer needs and value-selling skills.

  • Work closely with Sales team to identify business opportunities and maximise business wins in key accounts. Includes managing the risk of over-selling of product on new applications so as to minimize warranty cost. Includes developing strategy with Sales/Marketing by identifying competitors’ threat and OEM’s sensitivity.

  • Manage New Product Launch activities, ensuring that knowledge transfer and specific product training on VSC products are provided as required and sales aids to the China VSC Sales team to ensure that they are familiar with the range of products and can promote them to the market.

  • Negotiate and manage meaningful joint developments and technical partnerships with key customers. Agree with Sales team on suitable sites and process applications, lead new product Beta Site Evaluation in China to ensure successful qualification and enhance product reliability, manage project reviews and input towards product modification and development of new standard product.

  • Keep abreast of new technologies employed by competitors and evaluate strengths and weaknesses & impact on Atlas Copco product offering / market share.

  • Responsible for communication and input into Market Requirement Specification by identifying new product requirements for new Applications and new processes. Includes providing input on current and future developments in China customers’ semiconductor process technology roadmap for PD marketing department to define new products and maximise business growth and profitability.

  • Manage Critical/Sensitive information; provide technical authority on issuing of product / technical notes.

  • Crisis management of product & applications related issues that threaten Atlas Copco positions. Lead local customer interface and champion Atlas Copco products by defending product integrity thru’ customised presentations.

  • Develop and deliver product/technical presentations, using standardised methodology and a modular approach that is capable of being distributed and used globally.

  • Support the Global Applications Group and PD to build and update the Applications knowledge database. Includes capturing data on the effective operation of Atlas Copco VSC products in a given application such that a single comprehensive source of company technical knowledge may be created on a master database in order that this database can be used as a basis for making commercial decisions by the marketing department.

  • Grow and develop local technical support capability in solving difficult applications problems with a systematic scientific approach, ability to champion Atlas Copco products, ability to lead customer interface on product applications related issues, ability to advise on new product installation and commissioning by process.

  • Provide support and contributes to developing technical capabilities of the Field Service organisation.

  • Provides leadership on safety of product applications and product set-up, especially on request for customisation and new processes.

  • (Occasionally) responsible to purchase within defined scope upon line manager's permission and use company system.


 

What we expect of you? 

-        Master or Degree in a Science or Engineering discipline.

-        A minimum of 5 years’ experience in the semiconductor industry, with sound knowledge and experience of BOC Edwards VEMD products.

-        Contributes fully to departmental organisation and working practices.

-        Maintains intellectual property and commercial awareness.

-        Ability to work under pressure, provide support to sales and customers.

-        Established recognition and credibility from peers and senior management as an expert in the area of product support knowledge.

-        Excellent interpersonal, communication and influencing skills, both verbal and written capability, to present knowledge in a professional capacity and to build relationships with customers and colleagues. The ability to carry weight in meetings through own presence and well constructed interventions using logic, facts & figures and own technological skill to persuade others.

-        Good appreciation of major OEM process tools and competitors VEMD product.
