Main Duties

• Daily inspection in clean room and dock area, plus prepare inspection report / checklist and issue to sub-contractor and nominated sub-contractor (make photographic report when necessary).Coach engineer for safety work.

• Identify unsafe acts and conditions or environmental non-compliance created or practiced by the Contractors, proper documentation to be recorded for future reference.

• Carry out NCO induction as well as other required training as per training matrix. Organize or hold weekly safety meeting and Mass talk

• Together with site engineer to issue the daily work permit timely.

• Make recommendation on EHS measures or method to improve the work to Contractors.

• Issue Notice or instruction of EHS Infringements or non-compliance items to assistant Engineers and proceed to follow up required corrective actions, ensure it is addressed in safety condition.

• Supervise the erection and maintain of the EHS features on site, such as safety barricade, toe board, opening coverage etc.

• Recommend penalties to persistent non-compliance parties.

• Response and co-work with EHS Coordinator and other EHS Personnel.

• Ensure engineers carried out inspection weekly and submit report.

• Assist in incident investigation for all incidents and accidents at site.

• Monitor the environmental, health and housekeeping on site.

• Acting as safety assessor for work area inspection with site supervisors for daily commencement of work for all Exyte Permit to Work listed in the EHS Manual.

• Maintain and monitor EHS records and checklist;

• Other duties as mentioned in the Act and Regulations or as assigned time to time by local manager.

• Communication with customer safety engineers and satisfy their requirement.

• Microsoft Office

• Good understanding of engineering construction and installation works

• Familiar with regulations and laws in regards to work safety, procedures of construction, accident reporting and approval process for construction projects
• basic written and verbal communication skills in English and Mandarin is preferred
