Calix Intelligent Access Edge team is seeking an experienced software engineer to maintain and develop network element management components in OLT access systems.

Responsibilities:
You will be part of a flexible team that builds AXOS Intelligent Access Edge solution. We have a commitment to code quality, open discussion, and productivity. Your responsibilities include:
? Review market requirements and use cases, and estimate with stakeholders
? Effectively communicate your designs, ideas, and feedback to cross functional teams on technical matters
? Write functional and design specifications
? Write software with a good quality
? Performing thorough unit testing, functional testing, and integration testing
? Peer code reviews
? Write automation test cases
? Work with customer services team to fix the issues arising from customer sites
? Evaluate third-party software and integrate into Calix access platforms
? Contribute to the improvement of system performance, stability, and scalability
? Mentor and guide junior team members

Qualifications:

• 8+ years of C/C++ experience in Linux embedded development preferably with telecom or datacom industry. Additional experience and capabilities required for more senior positions.
• BSCS (or equivalent) required, MSCS preferred
• Hands on experience in development of SNMP agent preferably using Net-SNMP
• Experience developing enterprise MIBs for telecom products is a big plus
• Working knowledge of CLI, Netconf and YANG data modeling, hands on experience with Confd middleware framework is a plus
• Knowledge of IPFIX, IPDR and AAA is a plus
• Proficient in a multi-thread/multi-process architecture, design, and coding
• Strong Object-Oriented Design and Methodologies is a plus
• Familiar with embedded DBMS and distributed system management
• Solid experience improving performance, stability and scalability of network products is an asset
• Proficient with GNU tool chain and software development tools such as GIT/JIRA, etc.
• Experience with scripting tools like shell, Python and TCL etc.
• Experience with large complex software systems
• Strong creative, analytical, communication and research skills and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
