The Senior Process & Piping Engineer will provide Technology leadership in development and execution of Capital Projects from feasibility through construction and start-up.  The person in this role will serve as the key technical resource to support plant optimization efforts regarding safety, capacity, cost, quality, and environmental improvements

Position requires and is responsible but not limited to:

Serve as process & piping engineer on capital project teams

Use Front End Loading define and scope projects, evaluating process engineering alternatives based on technical feasibility and economics

Lead development of technical deliverables related process and piping disciplines on key capital projects to ensure safe, workable, cost effective solutions are being developed that will meet the defined business/project objectives.  This includes:

• Process/Engineering Flow Diagrams
• Material and Energy Balances (M&EB's)
• Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID's)
• Scope document reports
• Process requirements of new equipment/instruments

Provide process engineering leadership supporting plant operations during commissioning and start-up

Participate on plant optimization teams to identify opportunities for improvements in cost, capacity, environmental and safety issues

Actively participate and contribute in all safety programs to continually improve the safety culture of the Company

Effectively demonstrates ability to deliver on complex situations or problems without guidance or supervision

Identify and solve problems and enable successful projects

Functionals and Responsibilities

Project execution 项目执行

·         贯彻项目执行计划，以满足项目质量，进度，费用和安全目标
Implements project execution plan to achieve quality, schedule, cost and safety objectives of the project.

·         在设计、采购和施工阶段监管工艺和管道专业各类标准的实施
Supervise contractor and the implementation of applicable design codes, standards and practices for process and piping during engineering, procurement and construction.

·         能够独立完成工艺路线设计选型，工艺流程模拟计算， 物料和能量平衡核算等
Develop process solution，PFD, calculation, simulation and HMB etc.

·         和承包商一起完成工艺和管道专业的设计交付文件，这些设计文件必须正确有效并满足项目目标的要求。
Works with the contractor to develop and finalize all engineering deliverables for process and piping design to provide a safety and effective design to meet the project objectives.

·         和仪表工程师和项目团队一起，完成项目的控制原理，安全联锁等以满足项目目标的要求。
Work with the instrument engineer and the project team, develop the control philosophy and the principles of control, and safety interlocks to meet the project objectives.

·         审核承包商的工艺和管道专业的所有设计交付文件和过程文件，如安全阀选型计算书，水力学计算，设备一览表，管道一览表等。
Review and approval the all the engineering deliverables and supporting documents from contractor for the process and piping disciplines, such as the safety valve calculation, hydraulic calculations for pump systems, equipment list, piping line list etc.

·         完善和改正设计中的错误，协调解决设计中有关管道和工艺专业的问题。如PFD, 物料平衡表，P&IDs, 功能控制描述等问题。
Develop, correction and coordinate to solve the problems of the Design for process and piping disciplines including process flow diagrams, material & energy balances, P&IDs, equipment & instrumentation specifications, process control strategies, control architecture, functional control description etc

·         组织管道的模型审查和参与HAZOP审查。
 Lead piping model review and participate in HAZOP studies.

·         和承包商一起，确保设计满足业主和操作工艺的要求。
Interacts with contractor, primarily responsible that design intent as defined in the process design package and Owner requirement is translated into Design.

·         参与审查和批准设备材料采购的技术文档和供货商的文件。
Review and approval for equipment/piping material procurement related technical document, review and approval for technical information supplied by contractor and manufacturer.

·         协调解决和工艺和管道专业相关的质量问题。
Resolve any quality issues with contractor and vendors for process and piping

·         负责协调和管理合同签订后有关工艺和管道专业的变更。
Responsible for managing change management process for any changes to process and piping disciplines after a contract is awarded.

·         在施工和试车阶段，提供工艺和管道专业的技术支持。
Provide process & piping disciplines support during the construction and start-up phases to ensure that the detailed design and construction meets the process engineering requirements and assist the Start-Up Team during commissioning.

工艺管理 Process management

·         负责斯泰潘南京工厂生产工艺管理，对生产工艺执行情况以及工艺参数/程序的优化，确保安全、高效的生产及质量合格。
Be responsible for process management at stepan Nanjing plant. Optimize process parameters and procedure to ensure a safe, efficient production and excellent product quality.

·         负责斯泰潘产品在代工厂的生产工艺管理， 监督并要求代工厂技术人员严格按照斯泰潘产品制造程序生产合格产品，协调并推动代工厂工艺技术人员对产品生产工艺流程进行优化，确保安全、高效生产。产品出现质量问题，协调研发、QA团队共同识别其根本原因并制定相应的改善行动。
Be responsible for process management at Toller plant. Supervise and manage the toller to strictly follow Stepan’s manufacturing procedure to make in-spec product. Coordinate and drive process leader to optimize process parameters and procedure to ensure a safe, efficient production and excellent product quality. Coordinate QA and R&D team to identify root cause and develop relevant improvement actions to solve product quality issues.

·         建立流程数据收集系统，领导生产主管去合理收集生产工艺相关数据并对数据进行统计分析，识别工艺过程中的问题并相应制定改善行动。
Set up process data collection system. Lead production leaders to implement process data collection and statistic analysis. Analyze process nonconformance and make improvement action accordingly.

·         负责管理产品制造程序及DCS批程序。定期组织相关人员对制造程序及DCS批程序进行合理性评估并及时更新。
Be responsible for manufacturing procedure and DCS batch procedure management. Lead relevant personnel to review and assess manufacturing procedure and DCS batch procedure and update at a fixed period.

·         负责工厂P&ID 流程图控制及管理，根据工艺变更的要求，及时更新P&ID并对相关人员进行培训.
Be responsible for plant P&ID control and management. Update P&ID in time according to MOC requirement, coach the relevant personnel and ensure them to understand the P&ID well.

·         配合仪表工程师加强对连锁报警的管理. 加强与生产沟通协作，识别连锁、报警清单中存在的问题，制定出相应的改善方案，推动电仪工程师对相关问题方案及时实施。定期组织相关人员对连锁报警清单进行合理性评估。
Co-work with E&I engineer to manage the interlock and alarm list. Cooperate with production team to identify existing issues in interlock & alarm list and make relevant solution. Drive E&I engineer to implement solution in time. Lead relevant personnel to assess interlock & alarm list at fixed periods.

·         配合安全主管对相关ESH程序及相关流程进行管理，包括MOC、PSSR、PHA、PSM等， 确保严格按照公司安全制度进行执行。
Assist ESH leader to manage relevant ESH procedures and process, such as MOC, PSSR, PHA, PSM etc. Make sure to implement ESH process and procedures according to plant ESH policy seriously.

·         策划并负责年度工艺审核
Plan and implement Process yearly audit, especially for DCS

精益生产管理Lean production management

·         为现场主管和其它员工提供精益改进项目和精益生产知识培训。
Train site leadership and other personnel on the lean program elements and lean production.

·         与现场主管合作对重要区域和企业发展关键区域进行评估。更新和重新定义计划中各步骤的优先级，以确保时刻关注最重要的区域。
Work with site leaders to conduct assessment of critical site and business needs and re-prioritize the plan to maintain focus on the most critical site objectives.

·         领导执行现场改进计划中操作方法改善的项目、改进方案和其它活动。定期输出数据和活动的报告以测量针对现场目标所取得的改进。
Lead kaizen events, improvement project and other activities that execute on the site improvement plan. Provide frequent report of data and actions to measure progress against the site objectives.

·         发展一线操作人员在其工作场所运用精益生产工具的能力。
Develop shop floor experts capable of drive lean tools in their areas.

·         建立一个详细的可理解的精益生产最优实践计划，在现场实施并和其它员工分享***范例和相关知识。
Maintain a detailed understanding of lean best practices, implement them at the site, and share best practices and knowledge with others.

·         为精益生产的有效实施评估新的设备流程。
Evaluate new equipment processes for the appropriate application of lean.

新产品引进New products relocation

·         负责新产品引进工作。学习新的生产工艺，协调相关部门确保按照新产品引进计划向前推进并生产出合格产品。
In charge of new product relocation. Study new process and production capacity. Coordinate all departments to make sure to meet the project schedule and achieve qualified performance.

·         2、准备并建立产品制造程序，并在DCS系统中建立产品的批程序
Prepare and buildup manufacturing procedure for new product, and create master recipe in DCS system.

·         3、为相关人员提供新产品相关的培训，包括制造程序、产品标准等。
Coach and train relevant personnel about new product manufacturing procedure and product spec, etc.

Basic Qualifications

·         CET4 or above, Fluent Spoken English listening skills.

·         BS degree or above in a technical or engineering discipline.

·         Over 8 years process & piping discipline experience in engineering design and management in Chemical and related industries

·         Age Range:：28-40

Additional Qualifications

·         Experience using Front End Loading is desired

·         Polyol experience is desired

·         Six Sigma Green Belt Certification is desired

·         Demonstrated strong ability in process design including distillation, mass transfer, reaction, kinetics, and thermodynamics

·         Experience working with external engineering resources  - prioritizing/delegating work and driving accountability/productivity is desired

·         Collaborate experience with international EPCm company

·         Knowledge of lean enterprise concepts. Able to sue and apply specific lean tools.

·         Thorough understanding of the chemical manufacturing process, raw materials and suppliers’ processes, customer requirements, and key financial drivers

·         An understanding of key principles and methods of lean. This includes value stream mapping. 5S, TPM, Kanban etc
