Position summary:

1. Responsible for the effective planning and implementation of initiatives to improve patient safety in alignment with JCI standards and local guidelines.

2. Contribute to promote and inculcate safety culture within the organization through communication, education and training activities.

Essential tasks:

? Promote and inculcate safety culture in Jiahui. Implement patient safety culture survey with analysis and prioritization for improvement;

? Develop and revise related policies and procedures to meet JCI standards and local regulatory requirement or guidelines, and hospital requirement;

? Plan, coordinate and conduct patient safety related audit or walk about, and communicate with relevant department to share audit results and follow up actions;

? Manage patient safety events, monitor the investigations including the necessary root cause analysis, and corrective / preventive actions by relevant parties, and identifies areas for improvement based on the data trend and analysis; facilitate and coordinate cross departmental reviews when needed;

? Liaise and collaborate with BI department to obtain relevant data for monitoring and improvement;

? Monitor and review safety indicators and risk management;

? Generate reports and data through charts and tables, and create report to relevant department and/or committees;

? Coordinate cross functional safety improvement program / project; work with relevant stakeholders to conceptualize, plan and implement new initiatives to improve the safety outcome;

? Participate with coordination and collaboration with relevant service line and/or committees in support of hospital-wide response plan to clinical emergencies, and other appropriate exercises;

? Facilitate and support relevant patient safety related committees / workgroups functions; organize meetings, analyze and present data and follow up with initiatives and activities recommended;

? Plan and conduct training and education to relevant staff, and follow up with effectiveness of the sessions;

? Liaise and coordinate with both internal and external stakeholders on various clinical safety areas;

? Undertake any project assigned by the supervisor from time to time;

? Participate in safety office activities;

Decision making and analytical skills:

? Ensure reported incidents are investigated and appropriate follow up actions are taken.

? Track and analyse incident trend.

? Compile and analyse inspection findings trends and recommend measures for improvement.

Equipment / Software:

? Good knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and HIS. Good typing skill

? Uses modern office equipment, including computers and modern audiovisual equipment

Education, training and experience:

? Preferably bachelor degree in biological science, applied science, biomedical science or any other degrees in healthcare, engineering or equivalent;

? At least 5 years working experience and demonstrated competency; at least 2 years in supervisory role;

? Experience in healthcare setting will be an advantage;

? Familiar with JCI standards will be an advantage;

? Experience in clinical quality and safety, process improvement, data analytics, or clinical audit will be an advantage;

? Good writing skill, meticulous and organized with good planning skill;

● Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Able to work independently and supervise junior staff;

? Overseas experience preferred
