Job overview:

Digital Application Engineer is responsible for building software applications to support Siemens customers digital transformation. The overall objective of this role is to contribute to digital applications systems analysis, architecture design and programming activities.

Responsibilities:

•Plan, design and develop cloud based or on-premise digitalsolutions to meet business requirements in adherence with Siemensstandards, processes and best practices

•Own implementation of a application throughout the softwaredevelopment lifecycle

•Develop software independently and rapidly with a focus onquality in an agile environment

•Ensure adherence to continuous improvement practices asrequired to meet quality/time to market imperatives

•Perform application maintenance, production incident problemmanagement, root cause identification, problem solving

•Research current and upcoming digital technologies andframeworks

•Drive/collaborate with other technical leaders/softwareengineers on system/functional design and development

•Engage with architecture to clearly understand the digitalsolution design and roadmap

•Collaboration with product owners, stakeholders and designersto implement enhancements or new applications

•Consult with internal/external users, clients, and othertechnology groups on requirements and issues, recommend programmingsolutions, install, and support customer exposure systems

Qualifications:

•Bachelor's degree or above in Information Technology,Computer Science or Engineering or equivalent work experience.

•Minimum 5+ years of development experience in cloudapplication. IOT application/product development experience is apreferred.

•Excellent domain knowledge & proven experience workingwith Java, Spring Framework, Micro service, REST, multi-thread,distribution system, cache, and messaging service

•Excellent domain knowledge & proven experience in SQL& NoSQL database(e.g. PostgreSQL,MongoDB)，and data model design &development

•Solid knowledge and comprehensive understanding about DDD,API design, design pattern, common used framework, database design &development

•Knowledge of DevOps and tools such as Jenkins, Git, Docker,Kubernetes

•High-energy, team player, detail-oriented, proactive and workunder pressure in a dynamic and fast paced environment with frequent andon-time releases

•Strong performance tuning, troubleshooting and debuggingskills

•Excellent communication skills with English(working language)and Mandarin

•Experience in big data platform(e.g. Spark, Flink, Hadoop) isa plus

•Experience in node.js, python, H5/css/javascript is a plus

•Knowledge of streaming data and protocols like WebSockets,MQTT, AMQP is a plus
