POSITION SUMMARY

Purpose 

Lead and win new onsite projects profitably to support the business growth of China IG

Nature and Scope

The job holder is the CDP of Onsite Business Development for electronics tonnage/Gen Gas/ASU and bulk gases business in China and reports to BD Director of China Onsite. There are three assignments in different functions including one in China Onsite BD for the total period of at least two years.

The jobholder is responsible for supporting the BD Director for the sales / Business Development of the electronics tonnage/Gen Gas/ASU and bulk gases business in China. To achieve this, he or she will be the support of BD lead for the specific onsite opportunities as assigned, related to Electronics/Gen Gas/ASU and support playing the interface role with customers, marketing, regional stakeholders, and the local government officials accordingly. 

During the bidding stage, he or she needs to comply with the company process to support the following steps: business project screening, project planning/definition, tendering/ bidding, project/contract execution and control, performance measurement. He or she needs to support developing commercial strategy on new opportunities and enhance communications with customers, AP stakeholders, and other outside parties. And also, he or she will support developing bid/proposal for new opportunities so as to achieve the targeted hit rate and sales and profitability goals.

He/she will participate project tasked with cross-functional teams to pursue new business with capital investment of < $100MM

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

The jobholder’s primary accountabilities include the followings:

1.Support developing the business development plan and execution strategy

2.Support developing the commercial strategy for a bid.

3.Participate internal communications with cross-functional teams and external communications with customer and authorities

4.Participate contract negotiation and signature once business secured. 

5.Take initiatives to plan his/her career development in the company and proactively obtain advices, coaching and support in order to achieve the career goal and business objectives. 


JOB REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications and Requirements: 

To be successful in this position, the jobholder requires the following qualifications.

1.Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in an engineering or business related subject. MBA is preferred.

2.Minimum of 2 years working experience

3.Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to deal with people from all cultures at all organizational levels, inside and outside AP 

4.Excellent language skills. Able to communicate fluently in English/Chinese.

5.To be successful in this position, the incumbent requires the following skill sets.

6.Selling Skills – ability to interact effectively with customers and sell the advantages of our proposals to a positive conclusion.

7.Technical Skills – ability to learn/understand, and work with the technical aspects of Onsite projects including a basic understanding of the product lines and our project execution methodology.

8.Financial Knowledge – ability to learn/understand, and work with financial analyses for projects; ability to learn/understand and work with the technical and other aspects of a project that have impact on its financial return.

9.Legal Knowledge - learn from participating negotiations, and to put legal documents together. These include letters of intent, contracts and land leases.

10.People Skills – ability to work with people from different background in terms of culture and discipline internally and externally; 

11.Commercial and Business Acumen – learn and understand the competitive environment and build competence in putting a deal together.

12.Language Skills – ability to communicate effectively in both native and English languages.
