Summary

• Localize ozone product series to meet the predetermined cost target and lead time.
• Participate in Value Engineering events to identify opportunities to improve product performance and reduce cost.
• Provide effective technical support to project execution team and customers after signing the contract, prepare detail drawings and BOM. Ensure successful installations & commissioning of treatment products.

Job Scope:

• Develop product and component drawings and specs based on agreed design concept and local regulations and standards.
• Understand international standards, design guidelines and regulations, such as ASME, ISO, DIN, etc.
• Develops manufacturing drawings in accordance with applicable standards/ Tolerance using 3D design tools
• Analysis of mechanical systems, including design calculations for structural and mechanical strength
• Based on local supplier's process and manufacturing technology, modify/redesign some component/structures to reduce manufacturing cost for China market.
• Maintain and update technical data for local systems, include drawings/BOM, Technical design guideline, material data.
• Ozone projects detail design, including process calculation, PID, general layout drawings and piping design with 3D drawing tools.
• Communication on products and applications with overseas and local manufacturers and suppliers.
• Continuously improves technical expertise and knowledge of Xylem products, competitive products and up/down stream process.
• Assist aftermarket team to resolve site issue when necessary.

Qualifications: 

1. Mechanical design related education background, full-time university degree with bachelor degree and above.
2. More than 5 years working experience.
3. New products research and design experiences, localization experiences are preferred.
4. Experience in AD2000 codes, China Pressure Vessels and Pressure Piping is preferred.

Others:

• Be proficient in AutoCAD, be familiar in 3D software (ProE & Inventor are preferred).
• Language: English as working language for daily communication, including oral and written English. (CET-6) German will be a plus point.
• Excellent problem-solving ability and skills. Be good at team working, project management & MNC environment will be preferred.
• Excellent communication & interpersonal skills.
• Travel (20~30% of work time)
